A gallery wall dissolves into vertical ribbons of light, fracturing two passers-by into fragments of colour and shadow. Sol LeWitt’s rigid geometry meets de Chirico’s uncanny stillness, the figures reduced to passing ciphers behind a veil of stripes. Crimson benches anchor the lower register, their soft forms at odds with the mathematical rhythm above. Blue and violet light bleed in from the right, as though the architecture itself were dreaming in colour.
Here at the MACA in Alicante’s casco antiguo (old quarter), even presence becomes a kind of absence.
Many thanks to all who take the time to comment or favourite. I read every comment, value the favourites as much and return them as frequently as time allows.
I haven't posted any obscured glass for a while.. I think I've done this pane before, but who cares? ;-)

Deep in the jungle, the mighty jungle, the TV lurks tonight... My entry in Spoonflower's Tropical Surrealism Design Challenge.

I found this a really hard challenge, as with my head full of Dali & Magritte my visions of tvs or digital screens in the jungle or with the jungle in them, were bound to fall flat (if that's not a pun).
The link for voting was www.spoonflower.com/contest_voters_temp/new?contest_id=558 - open for one week only. There were 770 entries in this contest. I've seen lots of beautiful jungly entries & some surreal combinations, so voting should be fun!

Its my birthday on Monday...*wracking my brain for brilliant and outstanding idea for photo* but will no doubt just do whatever pops up on Monday.
Have a great weekend all.
This image captures a woman exuding elegance and sophistication against a dark, vertical-striped background. Her attire is a classic black dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline, complemented by her red lipstick, which adds a pop of color to the otherwise monochromatic setting.

Although this is all my own & an original work, one of my best auditors says it is "very Bridget Riley" - a huge compliment as Riley has been described as "one of the foremost exponents of Op art".

Pink Niagara - retouching.
Pink Niagara was a geometrical mural I did twice during PND! project: first in Garash Galeria in Mexico - vertical one (5 x 8 m) after in CSW in Warsaw (30 x 5 m). In Mexico rotulistas (street advertising painters) did it with brush, in Warsaw I count with help of 11 Fine Arts Academy students, they did it using masking tape and rollers.
The basic idea behind the mural was to show Lyrical Potential in Geometry. In the pieces of this size is also interesting to observe how representation stops to be just an image to watch and becomes the space experience - the public starts to enter the image.
