For the occasion, I went lookin’ for snow pics on my external HDD and found this one. No one can say that Piet Blom’s architecture is rustic, but some snow shifts it in that direction ;-)
About the architecture: The `Kubuswoningen` (Cube houses), aka the `Blaakse Bos` (Blaak Forrest), have the physical appearance of a set of cubes flipped to one of their vertexes and placed on variable height pillars. It was designed by Dutch architect Piet Blom (1934-1999), who followed his structuralist agenda here, trying to create an integrated urban living space (`Living in an urban roof`' it was called) that both stimulates/facilitates the communal spirit of the dwellers of this urban forest and create a strong rhythmic architectural pattern in the process. In `A structuralist's embrace` here, there’s more about Dutch structuralism.

A building in Ikebukuro, maybe a concert hall I think.
I thought the last two shots were so colorful, it was time for something a little more monotone.
The Vertex was a strange spacecraft. It seemed to have no useful purpose and its cockpit "seated" the pilot at a strange angle. The ship's giant "ears" appeared to be radiators for the engines. Lacking landing gear, it was only suited for use in deep space.
Rumours that the designers at Llwyngwril Space Systems just wanted to build a ship with a vertical windscreen were consistently denied. However, the design team were seen to be giggling and have their fingers crossed...

Seventh picture of my series The Vertex.
This time breaking several rules of landscape photography, horizon in the middle and main point of focus centered on the image. I liked the composition so minimalist. What do you think about it?
They were about five minutes in which the red flooded everything, creating an incredible atmosphere, with blue, purple, red, pink, orange, yellow colors. Just incredible.
On the technical side, say that I only used a neutral gradient three steps filter.
