but this time with topaz detail. I do like the new Adjust V4..but if I had to choose, I'd prefer detail over the adjust. The settings are just better for me!! ;-)
The Spanish version works better than the English one because the one-letter abbreviations of its daynames have no repetition besides Tuesday (Martes) and Wednesdays (Miercoles), and Wednesdays are magically replaced by the month. On the other hand, the two Ts in the English version (Tuesdays and Thursdays) can easily led to simple errors but I haven't find a way to correct them.

Hay una version en Ingles (con instrucciones, explicacion, critica, y archivo fuente) aqui, una version mas elegante (sin los dias de la semana) aqui, y otra aun mas elegante (sin los numeros de las columnas grises) aqui.
The other Version "Ausfahrt" in my photostream is the original file out of camera. This the one with some corrections an some work on colours an contrast.

By Ryan Johnston -
This bed is noiseless, and still
Calming me, as we sink slowly
Like feather ships, to the bottom of this sleep
These blankets that you kicked
Onto the open bedroom floor
Are like frozen ocean waves
Painted in a dream
Your memory blows in
Like a winter snowdrift
It holds me in a cold embrace
In the silent air this morning
Latching on with an icy grip
Piling high inside my mind
With all of the broken things
That I always hoped to fix
The cost for going back to sleep
In this hailstorm of sheep
Is counting only nightmares
That used to be good dreams
The sun has gone away
Diving over the edge
Over the steep mountain railing
Of these western states we lived
And if she could return
If she could find her way back again
Rising from the loneliness of the sea,
Climbing into the Atlantic skyline
Filling up my empty veins
And the stasis in my head
Like a heartbeat tidal wave
A key on a kite string
The sapphire sky you left
Is overflowing ruby red
Draining from my heart
Like a crimson waterfall
Turning every star into mars
Sinking constellations like oxygen ships
Capsized in collapsed lungs
Devastated from restricted breath
In the rapture of the moment you left
And the world I’ve been seeing
Has been upside down ever since
Whatever it was that died
We bury alongside what it was,
That it brought so much life
The wind and rain will cover up the blood
They say time heals, but it never really does
Thanks To Meghann Keeley Stone, for making every idea I have a million times better!
I thined the tail and the fins, and I change the way of doing the sail.I think this one has better proportions than the previous version.

The original version of the previous shot. The foliage is beautiful but there are a couple issues with it. It was taken on a frontage road with an industrial park on one side and the highway 26 freeway on the other.
I couldn't find a crop I really liked that still showed enough detail. I really wanted to do a vertical and just crop out the sides but with the open space between the rows prevented getting as many trees into the crop as I wanted.
I'm evaluating a trial copy of Photoshop CS4 and one of the new features is a new transform method called content-aware scale. It intelligently carves out areas of detail and preserves them, while removing areas with less detail. It seemed to work pretty good, the end result was pretty smart with only a few artifacts near the center of the frame that I could have cloned out if i were printing this.
To see a live demo and get a better idea of this functionality see this video:

Final standing version. Folded from elephant hide coloured with acrylic ink.
My son wanted me to make a bird for him. We were looking at a photo of Bernie Peyton's owls at the time, so I was influenced by the look of his design. After doing the first quick and dirty version for my son, I realized the design had potential, so I worked at refining it.
The name comes from a washi-producing area near Tokyo in Japan. I visited the area while on a sightseeing tour organized by Yamaguchi Makoto in 2004. The name of the place means "little bird". The pronunciation is unusual, so the name stuck in my head.
