A dead tree stump that most likely fell off the cliff, two photographers in conversation and Otago Harbour all around them. The winter sun was low over Port Chalmers behind the headland. NZ has a very small navy.

Poem: a verse of Recessional by Rudyard Kipling 1897

Far-called, our navies melt away;

On dune and headland sinks the fire:

Lo, all our pomp of yesterday

Is one with Nineveh and Tyre!

Judge of the Nations, spare us yet,

Lest we forget—lest we forget!

Johannes 16, Vers 33

---

John 16, verse 33

The shape of the book is still well defined. However 150 years of rain, wind and snow have scrubbed away virtually all traces of the inscription. A growing number of stones in these old cemeteries serve only as grave markers as there's no longer any visual reference as to the names of the deceased. Any direct descendants are dead. No one visits these graves or maintains them. And the stones are left to simply wither away. That's where I come in.

So, this is the last of my Pip-verse Justice League.... Yup. Totally didn't make a Flash and forget to edit him...

(I'll get to it eventually... Maybe.)

Anywhoozlesworth, Aquaman. I didn't want to make him all manly and bearded and, ya' know, Thor-like. My goal was to make it look at least somewhat like his classic costume while being modern-looking as well.

So, story...

I'm thinking he's a marine biologist, 'cuz I don't know Aquaman's original origin. xP While exploring a sunken city he finds a golden trident. Upon pulling it out the city comes back to life and the residents declare him their king, 'cuz he fulfilled some sort of prophecy or whatever.

As far as powers, the trident lets him breath underwater, swim at high-speeds, attack fluently in the water and communicate with sea life.

Yeah, I like this one. I had a lot of fun coming up with the design and story.

“Here with a Loaf of Bread beneath the Bough,

A Flask of Wine, a Book of Verse - and Thou

Beside me singing in the Wilderness -

And Wilderness is Paradise enow.”

Omar Khayyám

So yeah this is my version of Gwenom, basically the whole fig was bought off eBay for like £2. Oh and that's Etape put poorly on her wrists, her sides (which were tan coloured) were edited. She will be in my series portrayed as a kind of antihero, enjoy!

Comments and Criticism welcomed as per usual! :)

I love this verse [explore] :]

Let friends forbear to mourn and weep

While sweetly in the dust we sleep:

This toilsome world we’ve left behind

In heaven a resting place to find

Cathédrale Saint-Sauveur-sur-le-Sang-Versé de Saint-Pétersbourg en Russie.

The Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood in St Petersburg, Russia; completed in 1907

Tsar Alexander II, known as the ‘Tsar Liberator’, was assassinated by nihilist revolutionaries on 1st March 1881. His successor, Alexander III, decided to build a church on the spot where it happened.

The new Tsar selected an unusual architectural style for the new church. It was an evolution of the ‘Russian style’ inspired by medieval Russian architecture, a striking contrast to St Petersburg’s surrounding buildings

Inspired again (by T S Eliot)

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again...

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come.

Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.

O ME! O life!... of the questions of these recurring;

Of the endless trains of the faithless—of cities fill’d with the foolish;

Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)

Of eyes that vainly crave the light—of the objects mean—of the struggle ever renew’d;

Of the poor results of all—of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me;

Of the empty and useless years of the rest—with the rest me intertwined;

The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life?

Answer.

That you are here—that life exists, and identity;

That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse.

From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

1:15-18 As to the order of time and entrance on his work, Christ came after John, but in every other way he was before him. The expression clearly shows that Jesus had existence before he appeared on earth as man. All fulness dwells in him, from which alone fallen sinners have, and shall receive, by faith, all that renders them wise, strong, holy, useful, and happy. Our receivings by Christ are all summed up in this one word, grace; we have received even grace, a gift so great, so rich, so invaluable; the good will of God towards us, and the good work of God in us. The law of God is holy, just, and good; and we should make the proper use of it. But we cannot derive from it pardon, righteousness, or strength. It teaches us to adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour, but it cannot supply the place of that doctrine. As no mercy comes from God to sinners but through Jesus Christ, no man can come to the Father but by him; no man can know God, except as he is made known in the only begotten and beloved Son.

I had a request to put Scripture on some of my favorite images, so I will be adding some of my favorite verses. No comments are needed but if you want to, by all means, please do! Thanks for enjoying them!
