Beautiful petals
And color scheme.
Among the loveliest
Ever seen.
Such is the flower
Of one’s dreams
The iris
Is a floral queen.

Told you I'll be here forever
Inspired by verses of Rihanna's "Umbrella" with thanks and respect.
I was sitting behind a tree again trying to photograph kangaroos and I was watching these birds in the paddock. They would hop on the ground disturbing the bugs in the grass which made them fly up and then the birds would fly up and eat them. It was fascinating to watch...

Procida is the smallest island of the Gulf of Naples; it is rich in attractions and archaeology. From the ground floor of Napoli Centro train station, you can take the metro to station Pozzuoli then get off and take the ferry at the port of Pozzuoli. The architecture of Procida has a Greek origin. In fact, the history of Procida is concentrated first of all on the medieval village “Terra Murata” and on “Corricella”, the fishing settlement. The island has served as the set for numerous films, such as The “Postman”, and some scenes in “The Talented Mr. Ripley” were shot on Corricella. The landmarks of Procida reflect typical Mediterranean pastel colours. Procida offers simply cooking and at least 10 excellent restaurants with plain cooking based on fresh fish. This simple style never fails, thanks to the 20 local fishing boats. The specialties of the cooking are: stewed rabbit (which goes back to the Borbonen who came on Procida to hunt the wild rabbit) and spaghetti with sea-urchin. Procida has 6 beaches with crystal-clear waters. Spent some relaxing days on this wonderful island. Experience the real Italy, lovely people, great views, great sand and great food.
The best way to get to procida is travelling to Pozzuoli first ,beautiful as well as other districts of Naples, by train where you will find marina with ferries. Before reaching the Island, you'll enjoy wonderful views of Faro Capo Miseno and its lighthouse. From the lighthouse you have Incredible views of Capri, Procida, Ischia, Pocinda, Baia, Pozzouli, Sorrento, Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. Bout a 20 minute hike to the top. Paved with stone steps all the way. Photo of Capo Miseno looking over the mussel beds in the approaches to Porto Miseno.
Blah, blah, New Pip-verse whatever.
So, this one isn't as clean as my Batman or my Superman, but I like how it turned out. I'm especially happy since I could never make a cyborg since he normally requires some unique parts. Though, I'm regretting adding red and blue lights, it clashes too much I think.
I was trying to find a fitting quote or funny line to match this image but came to the conclusion that I was about to cross a fine line ! HSS
Op 8 juli 2005 arriveerde Railion 6441 met een viertal fabrieksnieuwe reservebakken VIRM in Amersfoort.
So, this is the last of my Pip-verse Justice League.... Yup. Totally didn't make a Flash and forget to edit him...
(I'll get to it eventually... Maybe.)
Anywhoozlesworth, Aquaman. I didn't want to make him all manly and bearded and, ya' know, Thor-like. My goal was to make it look at least somewhat like his classic costume while being modern-looking as well.
So, story...
I'm thinking he's a marine biologist, 'cuz I don't know Aquaman's original origin. xP While exploring a sunken city he finds a golden trident. Upon pulling it out the city comes back to life and the residents declare him their king, 'cuz he fulfilled some sort of prophecy or whatever.
As far as powers, the trident lets him breath underwater, swim at high-speeds, attack fluently in the water and communicate with sea life.
Yeah, I like this one. I had a lot of fun coming up with the design and story.
Pretty chuffed with the fig and small build to his tail, the stinger is edited green (as you probably noticed). So yeah this guy won't be in the first series of my Spider-Girl but probably will be in the second if people like it.
Comments and criticism is welcomed as usual :P
In the afternoon they came unto a land
In which it seemed always afternoon.
All round the coast the languid air did swoon,
Breathing like one that hath a weary dream.
Verse from "The Lotus-Eaters" by Alfred Lord Tennyson. I do like this image, but I feel that there is room for improvement in the technique. I like the concept though... the atmosphere and mood it creates. I shall have to try this technique a bit more in the future.
Taken at Manhattan Beach, Oregon.

Let friends forbear to mourn and weep
While sweetly in the dust we sleep:
This toilsome world we’ve left behind
In heaven a resting place to find
Sheepstor, Dartmoor, England
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again...
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come.
I thought this opening verse from Lonely Days by the Bee Gees was apt for this shot. Indeed, restaurants and music directly behind me. It did brighten up my day. Golden sun and palm trees, what more could an old boy ask for?
Apologies to all my flickr friends, I will be a bit on and off for a while.
Lonely Days by the Bee Gees (first verse only)
"Good morning mister sunshine, you brighten up my day
Come sit beside me in your way
I see you every morning, outside the restaurants
The music plays so nonchalant. "
Townsville, Queensland.
This one might not be super noir but that's okay. The trenchcoat doesn't fit on him since he's short, but I find that humorous more than anything else. Oh, and what he's holding is supposed to be a pipe, not a random dude's hand. :P
O ME! O life!... of the questions of these recurring;
Of the endless trains of the faithless—of cities fill’d with the foolish;
Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)
Of eyes that vainly crave the light—of the objects mean—of the struggle ever renew’d;
Of the poor results of all—of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me;
Of the empty and useless years of the rest—with the rest me intertwined;
The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life?
Answer.
That you are here—that life exists, and identity;
That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse.
