Spokanne oldest Ballroom
The design of this venue was inspired by the Doge's Palace in Venice, built in the elaborate Venetian Gothic style. When it was completed in 1908, the Hall of the Doges was called the most opulent ballroom north of San Francisco. During the 2002 restoration, the Hall of The Doges was lifted intact by crane to become the only "flying ballroom" in the world. When the new building was erected, the ballroom was carefully placed back into the new structure as the foyer to the Grand Pennington Ballroom.

“Ben Venue” (729m at the top of the photo), is a landmark mountain in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and sits between Loch Achray and Loch Katrine, It’s very popular with hillwalkers and this is part of the woodland track from the main car park leading you up through the Achray Forest to start the climb.

I am holding an online photo exhibition. For details, check the Photo exhibition venue. I was planning to actually exhibit it at a gallery in Tokyo in April, but it was postponed at the request of the government.

COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 is attacking all over the world. Japan is no exception, and everyday is becoming more difficult. As a photographer, I also thought about life and postponed the exhibition according to the government's request. The Japanese government does not support artists. So I decided to hold an online photo exhibition. This is free to watch.
The photo exhibition should be in the dark in the room at night, preferably with the playlist. Look at the brightness of mobile terminals at 1/3.

Thank you for your support. Thanks to everyone, we had more access than in Japan. Thank you. Last but not least, I would be happy if you could share the URL of the photo exhibition on your SNS. Thank you!
Mandrakes in Ormskirk - the much loved coffee shop which sells Harry Potter inspired food and merchandise opened in 2019 in its St Helens Road premises in Ormskirk. The venue proved an instant hit, holding mesmerising events such as captivating ‘magical’ parties and quiz nights, with its highlights including broomsticks, the ‘Hogwarts Express,’ wands and a plethora of magical mandrakes and paraphernalia to pose with.

I had a very early morning meeting, the advantage of which is that I saw the sun come up -- albeit briefly. Another day to breath; now be thankful (cue Fairport Convention right about now): www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXNM0dpHMq4 Musical factoid, Richard Thompson, one of the founders of Fairport Convention, which many credit as the main influence for what we now call Folk Rock, is the only performer I have seen live five times. He has not once disappointed me in a performance. The opportunity in Toronto to see him in a small venue with about 100 people is perhaps the highlight of my life in terms of live music performances.... He played for almost three hours and we soaked up every little bit of it.
Europe, Portugal, Algarve, Sotavento, Faro, Rua de Moagem, Silo building, Façade, Pigeons (uncut)
Shown here is the ornamented front façade of the brutalist silo building from the previous shot. I’m not sure if it still operates as a dance & music venue. But it does function as an impromptu dovecot.
This is number 28 of the Faro album and 102 of Gloriously dilapidated.

Having less and less time to contribute here, I hope everyone is letting their creativity free during October...
Stay safe, have fun, hope I can share more Halloween creatives within the month!
Thank you always for the lovely support!

A concert where all the regular musicians associated with the venue performed for free in support. Fortunately, the audience also showed their support by showing up in large numbers, in fact it was impossible to get a seat for the first hour. Great music and a warm atmosphere.

A few days ago, conditions for sunset were looking promising. I had been meaning to captured this local field and asked the farmer for his permission to take some shots and fly the drone. He was more than happy, and I was glad I did, as it was a stunning sunset.

The John Madejski Garden is one of the most elegant outdoor venues in London. it is a tranquil space featuring a paved ellipse with water jets between steps, which are illuminated at night. the design allows the beautiful 19th-century terracotta facades to be more visible and provides flexibility to transform
the space for different types of events. The garden is one of London’s hidden treasures and is particularly magical when lit.

The well-sculpted laker Edward L. Ryerson was towed from its storage slip at the foot of Tower Bay to Fraser Shipyards today. She needed to be moved so core samples could be taken from the harbor floor in the slip.
Staring to go back through the images from last snow fall. The lack of wind overnight mean't some great snow settling on the woodland on the way up to Ben Venue.
