Farne Isle Puffin carrying some vegetation

Prairie grass for dinner again - since the Prairie Dog's i diet consists of grasses and leaves. A little too fibrous for my taste!

Wasn't to worried about the Corona Virus when I had to lay down in a prairie dog field to get this shot -- they may eat veggies but still poop a lot!

As a lifelong vegetarian, Brian was overjoyed when his local takeaway started doing vegetarian kebabs - brilliant for when he gets the munchies after a party night out with his pals.

For Macro Mondays theme 'Sharp'. The vegetables were skewered onto a cocktail stick for Brian to enjoy - his shell is just under 1 cm long.

No snails were harmed in the making of this photograph - and they greatly appreciated this kebab after the photoshoot. Asparagus and tomatoes are some of their favourites, but they also love cucumber and carrots.

Female wood duck just loving the muck.

"Looking close... on Friday!" #ASingleBladeOfGrass

Pas de montage ici, juste jeté un brin d'herbe sur la toile d'araignée, et il est resté coincé au delà de mes espérances.

No editing here, just threw a blade of grass on the spider web, and it got stuck beyond my expectations 😅

If I were looking for a vegetarian restaurant in Chinatown, I'd be hard pressed to go with the Lucky Creation Vegetarian Restaurant. I have a picture in my mind of walking through the kitchen and seeing the chef's laundry boiling on the stove. Maybe that's how they spruce up the flavor in those vegetarian dishes--laundry broth.

I couldn't tell you the name of half of what's on this platter. There is the basmati; the jalebi; and a samosa. I know one thing for certain, I can't finish this on my own. I'm willing to share with good company.

House finch, Rondeau Provincial Park, April 14, 2023.

A welcome splash of colour at the water feature.

Haemorhous mexicanus.

House Finches feed their nestlings exclusively plant foods, a fairly rare occurrence in the bird world. Many birds that are vegetarians as adults still find animal foods to keep their fast-growing young supplied with protein.

Garut West Java

This time I choose vegetarian food which is contain tofu and mix salad with spicy nut sauce

Maybe it is seaweed salad before the fish entree. The mate will be pretty angry if this bird returns thinking this is dinner.

I finally got a photo of an osprey dropping in for the kill and it was after a pile of seaweed. It picked it up and flew out of sight. I assume it was nesting material.

but this is at Valia Kalda's Butcher shop in Varvakios market with fresh certified Greek meats from all over Greece.

Athens’ Varvakios Municipal Market is a Food Shopper’s Paradise. Once the place where every Athenian came to shop, the Varvakios Market has changed since the 1960s, but it’s still a vibrant hub of authentic city life.

The main part of the Varvakios Market is located inside one large structure laid out like a horseshoe, with left, right and rear corridors lined with meat and poultry sellers and a seafood market smack in the middle.
