Re-create (1 of 10) movie posters in Adobe Illustrator and using only 5 colors. (B&W count as 2!)
The Project:
As you all know, I've been on the Grid for a couple years now. So when I found the TRON Legacy was one of our projects, it was a "no-brainer".
Even though it wasn't the easiest thing to accomplish, creating the credits and industry logos was the most fun of all aspects of the work.
(Plus: Vector Tracing Olivia Wilde isn't exactly the worst way to spend ones time:)

It seems that my series of Halloween Heads has started anew with the completion of a Japanese vampire on the heels of last week's Phantom of the Opera. Halloween Heads are illustrations of monsters I've created in the superlative vector art application Affinity Designer. Generally, I try to stick to a classic stable of monsters, mutations and madmen from the movies, but I have made a bit of a departure with my latest addition.
Move the hell over Morrissey, it's all about me now.
I think big hair is where it's at. I have this silly superficial crush on a guy who works in a store right below my apartment. It's one of those crushes where it's not so much that I wanna do him but I wanna BE him. He has super poofy hair, I'll forever envy people with poofy hair. Anyway yesterday I was walking down the street and I saw him and realized we had the same damn pair of sunglasses! I look cooler than him but he has poofy hair so... I think he wins this round.
Today I lived the life of a hipster. Slept until 2pm, threw clothes on that were laying on the floor, tossed my sweet pair of sunglasses on... stumbled into the cafe for some coffee, where the gay guys immediately waved hello at me and shot me some googly eyes for the second time this weekend [man I'm on a good run] as they served me.. and then went to the bookstore nearby and bought Middlesex and Sarah's Key. I then went to the habour to sip on my coffee, read, and then take self portraits like a good self-absorbed hipster fuck would do.
What's an awesome book you've read? I want some suggestions.

In honor of my 24th birthday, I designed this poster to promote my super-rad birthday-blowout-bash of maximum awesomeness! The design was dramatically unveiled a mere 8 hours before the party when all the guests were notified via email of the surprise celebration. The party took place at a local bar / art-space / venue and involved us watching a performance by my favorite Baltimore based band Thrust Lab. Everyone also had plenty of birthday beers while sharing in birthday cheer!
