This is an image I took from a glass blowing presentation at Wimberley Glassworks in Wimberley Texas. They were showing how they make pieces of their new collection called dragon scale vases.

Took some Wisteria and my favourite vase down to the summerhouse to photograph and then got a bit carried away with my post processing ;)

This macro shot is a result of a challenge that I set myself (to force creativity), which was to come up with an idea, do the set-up, shoot and post within 15 minutes. Time taken 13.5 minutes.
'Instinctive' - word #50 on the list of 100 words.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Fujifilm X-Pro1; edited in Silver Efex Pro3. Ceramic vase made by Eleni O'Hara in the early 1970s. The object to me has a threatening quality and comes across as a relentless hoover tormenting me with the fear of my memories being sucked into a void and disappearing forever.
