While on vacation in Switzerland I took time to visit the aviation museum Clin d’ailes at Payerne airbase.
De Havilland Vampire FB.6 J-1156 is on a pole near the entrance of the museum.
I took the photo from the balcony of the museum. From here you are first rank watching the flight operations. If there are any! Payerne airbase was in maintenance, so no activities.

De Havilland Vampire FB.52 at Duxford, belonging to the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron. The UK supplied a total of 36 Vampire FB.52s (export version of the FB.6) to Norway who operated them from 1949 to 1957. This former Swiss Air Force example was acquired by the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron in 2011 and is operated alongside their Vampire T.55, Lim-2 (Polish-built MiG-15UTI), and Canadair CT-133 Silver Star (licence built Canadian version of the Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star).

NB. The two buddy tanks on the outer stores pylons there is also one unseen on the centre line of the belly these are used to refuel inflight other aircraft from the two large underwing tanks.

My brother and I are vampires at Six Flags Over America. He does the prosthetic makeup and we are both part of the stunt show. Hair is real, eyes and teeth are custom.
The vampires love having their picture taken and will pose for anyone. Vincent doesn't like posing for photos and refuses to dress up.

DeHavilland DH115 Vampire T.11 WZ507 (G VTII) at the 1993 RAF Leuchars BoB Airshow, built at the DH factory at Christchurch in 1952 in RAF service 1953 to 1969, this aircraft was for sale in 2018 and assuming it is still intact, whereabouts not known (April 2020).

Summer solstice is here again. Which is a good time for us humans with those long summery days but think about the poor vampires. This proud vampire lady has been reduced to taking twice daily cold blood showers in her dark and dank underground mausoleum. She hasn't left for weeks and probably won't for some time to come. Her neighbours think she's off in the Caribbean for summertime - as always. In reality she's been subsisting on a diet of fresh meat delivered by Waitrose and illegally streaming Netflix over her neighbours wifi. Even one minute in those glorious summer rays would reduce her to a pile of ash. Spare a thought.
She's lasercut on wood at 39 x 26cm and then handpainted. Once you've added some crystal resin to represent the cold blood showers and a few little bats to represent her cheeky take on vampire home decor and you've got another successful id-iom piece. Drop us a line if interested...
