de Havilland Vampire T11
Development of the de Havilland Vampire as an experimental aircraft began in 1941. In May 1944, it was decided to produce the aircraft as an interceptor for the Royal Air Force (RAF). In 1946, the Vampire entered operational service with the RAF, only months after the war had ended, although had it been necessary it could have been made available earlier. The Vampire remained in front-line RAF service until 1953 when its transfer began to secondary roles such as ground attack and pilot training. The RAF retired the Vampire in 1966.
The Vampire was exported to many nations and was operated worldwide in numerous theatres and climates. By the end of production, almost 3,300 Vampires had been manufactured.
The Vampire King looking mood and mysterious - love all that smokey occlusion
Shots from the filming of a vampire short featuring vaious members of the LVG to promote the launch of the book "Bite!" by Kevin Jackson
Makeup I did for a short film entitled Intervention with the Vampire. This is his full-on vampire makeup. In earlier shots he just looked jaundice and sickly. It was great doing shadows on this guy -- look at that bone structure!

For Swapbot - the challenge was to decorate two matchboxes with a vampire theme and fill with some little goodies. One box went to the UK, the other to the eastern US.
The fillers didn't have to be vampire themed. I sent a bunch of black & red beads, some tiny hand-made white clay skulls from my friend Dana, a few realistic looking bat stickers, a length of black and white ribbon, some red sequins, black Dresden paper wings, and some tiny calla lilies that I got in the bridal supply section of a craft store.
The Vampire lady is another of my own drawings using Photoshop, as are the lilies on the cover of the box. The red/flowered "cover" lifts up to reveal the vampire on the flip side. There are also silver rhinestone studs along the sides of the box.

Bournemouth based De Havilland Vampire T.11 WZ507/74 cleans up after a missed approach.
Examples of these lovely little early jet aircraft continue to grace our skies some six decades on since they first appeared back in the '50's.
I had this gorgeous doll (love the hair!!) and this dress, which I made very long ago. I decided to made the doll for the dress.
The original doll was a Bratz Princess Roxxi.
Oh happy day! Both Cookie and Dorians body are finally home. The day was utterly stressful so right now I'm just swimming with happy.

De Havilland DH-100 FB.52 and DH-115 T.55 Vampires (LN-DHY and LN-DHZ) on flying display at Lappeenranta International Air Show. Finnish Air Force roundels and designation markings have been added just for the show to make this plane look like Vampires used on Finnish Air Force.
For me this was the most beautiful flying display of the show.

The Vampire's Kiss ripple helix cuff cartilage earring features a single wrap of the cuff in silvered copper wire, with two Czech glass blood red teardrop beads dangling from ripple-fangs. It is different to the usual ripple in that it has additional bend for a total of 4 lower prongs.
This cartilage earring was inspired by the concept of a vampire's bite, or "kiss" as it is sometimes called. For the daring this can be worn all the way up thru business wear, particularly in the Halloween season, for others it a great helix cuff for casual or club wear.
