The Vampire Diaries
Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile and distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character and celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. His dolls are derived from several models like Gene, Tyler, Sydney, etc, by various doll-makers such as Robert Tonner and Franklin Mint. His repaints as well as his portraits are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. Highly regarded among collectors and artists alike, Noel attempts to raise the bar and bring a fresh take to the common mass produced doll with every face he paints. Noel's specialty is with one of a kind repaints. The beauty of repaints is that almost no two are exactly alike just as no two artists are alike.

The de Havilland D.H. 100 Vampire was a British jet fighter developed during World War II. It was one of the first jet fighters to enter service with the Royal Air Force. The Vampire had a distinctive twin-boom tail design and was powered by a single jet engine. It was widely used by the RAF and other air forces around the world.
HMAS Vampire, 'Daring' Class Destroyer, 2,830 tons, built Cockatoo Island Naval Dockyard, completed 1959, at the Australian National Maritime Museum, Sydney, 13 April 2016.
Originally identical to the RN's 'Daring' Class, 3 were built at the RAN Naval Dockyard, Cockatoo Island 1957-59 and a 4th cancelled whilst under construction. Later, a RN 'Daring' was leased, then purchased, by the RN to replace one sunk. The two remaining RAN-built vessels were extensively rebuilt by the Williamstown Naval Dockyard in 1970-73 with new fore and aft superstructures incorporating funnels and a reconditioned armament. The result was a destroyer that was far better looking than the original RN-version whose stick-like funnels in my opinion ruined what would otherwise have been a fine looking design. What a shame the RN vessels weren't rebuilt likewise! HMS Vampire was not decommissioned until 1986, although in her final years she had been relegated to a training ship.

G DHWW a 1955 built former Swiss Air Force DH Vampire T-55 (U-1219), marked up as XG775 in 'Admirals Barge' colours at the RNAS Yeovilton Air Day in July 1996.
I took this photograph at the Royal Air Forces Association's Woodford Air Show in June 1995. The brochure of the event said this about the aircraft:
Representing Jordan we have aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force Historic Flight which has only been formed since 1994, using aircraft of the types used in the past, such as the Hunter and Vampire. The flight now operates two Vampires, a single seat FB6 and a two seat T55 - both of which were previously operated by the Swiss Air Force. They are now painted in the camouflage of the period and the falcon markings of No.2 Squadron. The Hunter was on the British register as G-BOOM and is a two seat T7 variant. It carries the markings of one of the first Hunters to enter service with the RJAF in 1958, with No.1 Squadron based at Mafraq.
