This is my new apple corer and slicer., the old one broke. I use it for my daily breakfast apple. It came with tiny forks to eat the slices, quite a unique extra!

Good, old fashioned tin opener - this is called a ‘Butterfly’ tin opener. Used them for years - the sort my mum and grandma used as well. Very reliable and not gimmicky! Didn’t know it’s ‘official’ name until doing a bit of research.

For Macro Mondays: Tools and Utensils

In the Western Mountains near Kunming, the capital of the Chinese province Yunnan

for "Crazy Tuesday" theme is "kitchen utensils"

A 2cm section of a mini grater for Macro Monday's "cutter" theme.

A random shot of Kitchen utensils, the weather being cold wet and windy dictates indoor activities for a while.

I think I enjoy macros more than anything else so I'm going to try to do more food macros.

Macro Mondays Tools and Utensils - Drill Hole Cutters

We spent a couple of days up in Ludlow, Vermont, and you can't spend time in that area without visiting the Vermont General Store in Weston! If ever in the area, and you want to kill an hour, or more, I highly recommend a visit! With so much to see (and photograph if you are so inclined) you will not be disappointed, I promise! Everything from penny candies to kitchen utensils, and hats and shirts to neat old toys. Local cheeses and other treats too, and there's stuff everywhere and in a great and pretty large post and beam store. And there's a nice old Advanced Design Chevy pickup outside full of flowers in the bed. The place is a winner...and I took a bunch of shots with many more to be posted. I hope you'll enjoy them!

At a charity fundraising event I spotted this novelty clock, which was brand new and boxed. I thought it would make a nice addition to our kitchen and it now hangs on our wall.
