Flickr is getting rid of the People feed (People you Follow) on July 1, without consulting any of its paying customers - us. Unless we can convince them otherwise, the only way to go through all the images of those you follow, will be to use the Activity Feed, which means you can't just go from one image to the next. It is incredibly cumbersome and not in the least user friendly.
I've added my frustrations and requests in the Flickr forum, and hopefully as many people as possible will do that, and maybe the "higher ups" will reconsider. Here is the link to the forum in case you would like to let them know how you feel about that.

This Flickr is not so user-friendly, though it shows the photos up well - Are you going? Or are you staying and coping? So many thousands of images are reportedly uploaded every day, is it going to make a difference to Flickr if we leave? And where on earth to go? When visiting the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park, Montana, USA, many of us cannot help but to take a look at Swiftcurrent Lake and Swiftcurrent Creek from this bridge. The light traffic is moving slowly and the sidewalk is user friendly.
11-29-22, Self critique: Looking at this again several days after posting to Flickr, I feel it may have been a stronger photograph had I lowered the camera a small amount (less sky) and included more creek. Simply cropping the existing photograph would not achieve the same result . . . live and learn.
Even from a distance, when I saw Chicago's Millennium Park, I knew I wanted to be there. The park covers 24.5-acre (99,000 m2) and features the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, the Crown Fountain, the Lurie Garden, and various other attractions.
Millennium Park is considered one of the largest green roofs in the world, having been constructed on top of a railroad yard and large parking garages. The park, which is known for being user friendly, has a very rigorous cleaning schedule with many areas being swept, wiped down or cleaned multiple times a day.
It is kind of like taking your wife and girlfriend to the same Christmas party, just wouldn't work out. lol
BTW- I always ask if I can post the buck offs If I can find the cowboy after. This cowboy thought it was funny and said go ahead.
IMAGINE VAN GOGH-VANCOUVER.
The experience of seeing a show like "Imagine Van Gogh" during the COVID-19 pandemic immediately creates a more user-friendly atmosphere, ironically, at least when it comes to getting to enjoy the show without crowds.
Van Gogh has described with joy his visit to the Mediterranean shore near Arles at the fishing village of Sainte-Maries, where he painted and drew for several days. It was a new world for him, and he responded to it with his usual eagerness and excitement.
L'expérience de voir un spectacle comme "Imagine Van Gogh" pendant la pandémie de COVID-19 crée immédiatement une atmosphère plus conviviale, ironiquement, du moins lorsqu'il s'agit de profiter du spectacle sans foule.
Van Gogh a décrit avec joie sa visite au bord de la Méditerranée près d'Arles au village de pêcheurs de Sainte-Maries, où il a peint et dessiné pendant plusieurs jours. C'était un nouveau monde pour lui, et il y a répondu avec son empressement et son excitation habituels.
Single RAW developed through LR2. I originally developed this through CS4 and LR2 to compare. The CS4 I notice doesn't have contrast presets in the Tone Curve section, which for me helps alot to get a basic start on contrast adjustment, then just tweak it a bit. Lr2 seems more user friendly and did a much better job on this image, for me anyway. There was a slight mist on the horizon to give this a good feel.
Critiques are always welcome.
Having fun tweaking this head, its compatible with lelutka Evo x skins and is very user friendly.
Hair is the June 2022 Group gift.
Eyes are the IKON group gift.
I finished updating this build and to celebrate took a picture of it. Part of the updating was adding teleports to and from the new rezzer station. In the near future, I'm planning to open up the parcel for folks to visit and rez the scenes they'd like to use and explore. So, I've been updating the scenes to be more user friendly for visitors, not just beautiful for me.

After all, every photo is a time shot with its own values that can never be captured in filters. It's not a canned soup. It is a time-consuming work with a lot of satisfaction. For months I had the time to study the work of the Belgian Magnum photographer Harry Gruyaert. Mesmerized I can look at his photos. He has become my great example in watching and creating. The name "Retrospective art project" is therefore inspired by him. The photos are no bigger than they were at that time and therefore not intended to be blown up.

In my previous article, like many photographer, I was very excited about the release of the new R6 and R5 because they offered tremendous advances.

I bought the R6, the Canon RF 100-500mm and sold everything to buy again a 5D mark III
Why? Because the Canon R6 is also that:
1) Delivery of the RF – EF Adapter Ring offered by Canon has arrived 60 days after purchase. Fortunately, my nice store went out of its way to lend me one.
Many customers have suffered this and it is scandalous on the part of Canon not to have integrated the ring in the original box.
2) Prepare to pay (and I'm not even talking about new RF lenses)
- a very fast and robust SD card to enjoy the burst like the Sony Tough SD
- Resistant, I used Lightroom 6 box. To read new raw CR3s, you need Lightroom Classic
- To make the photos look like a Canon Picture Style you need a quality color profile, thank you to Damien Bernal for your recommendations
The choice of an L Bracket is complicated with this screen, Tom Migot has devoted several videos to it.

The R6 is with High ISO but if you want a very clean result, Denoise by Topaze is the best Tool , So, one question: Why have I never needed it before?

This photo at 12800 iso will be almost unusable on 5D Mark III but never forget that the easiest and most beautiful thing is to take pictures when there is ... light
- The second battery is essential. It is difficult to say how many pictures you can take with one battery but I advise you to double your battery park as well as the charging time.
For years, I shot without ever thinking about the drums with a second in the bag never used.
3) The ergonomics of the R6 disappointed me and brought nothing
- The grip is worse than before. However, I have small hands and the handle seems too small to me. Those with large hands have their little finger in the air and some props even sell a base to add.
I wore for years a 5d Mark III with a 300mm 2.8mm IS II sometimes by the tips of two fingers to tell if the whole thing was balanced.
- The SD card door opens only by friction. There is still a small slot to slide a nail with difficulty, but the 5d Mark III and IV opened more easily with one hand.
The adjustable screen has never been useful to me because its tilt to the left of the device is not practical and even less with the L bracket
Touch has never been useful to me, in the field physical buttons are more practical
4 / A user experience that sometimes disappoints:
- Eye tracking stalls when it is too complicated in the foliage. Does the ultimate portrait of your dreams with a subject against a pretty background require this technology?
- In billebaude if you take your camera back, it will sometimes take a while before everything turns on again. Several times I had to turn off the R6 completely because the autofocus didn't know where it was.
- You see a beautiful sunset, you take your R6, you put your eye in the viewfinder and there… disappointment. Why not keep looking in our good old DSLR?
5) The rendering of R5 and R6 is often very different in appearance compared to DSLR.
More so if you mount a native RF lens.
Is it the technology or the level of detail that wants this? The shots often appear to be very artificially separated, and natural colors like grass are sometimes strange. I know you can change everything in PP, but all of this bothers me and takes me away from the pictorial and cinematographic universe.
My daughter came home from school with a drastically different school photo than I saw for a decade, I got it, the canon photographer (my daughter had asked a few years ago ;-) had bought an R6 or R5 and the schoolyard became a bit strange as « Gattaca ».... Advantage for Eye AF, it’s tea time for him ;-)
6) Let's talk about goals.
The photos of a Canon hybrid with an RF lens that I have seen in recent months made me want to buy a Canon EF 85mm f1.2 II 1 month after the R6. I'm not sure that was the goal. from Canon that we buy back the EF lenses that we had sold second-hand.

Canon did not lose everything because, to get Canon cash back, I exchanged my Canon EF 300MM 2.8 is II before the summer of 2021 for an RF 100-500mm ...
Why did I do this?
Fear of obsolescence and maybe a follow-up helped by an abundant marketing hype which made me give in and go against my convictions of never buying a zoom because the rendering really has nothing to do with a focal length fixed premium… I sold it 1 month later.
The bottom line of this financially not very pleasant operation is that, as in many areas, if we have the feeling that things will not be in our best interest, it is better to abstain ;-)
What will I miss most about the Canon R6
Focusing in low light, your 85mm 1.2 will get a facelift
Staggering stabilization from 100-500mm net to 1/50 th to 500mm
The focus on the eye, clearly the majority of wedding, sports and animal photographers will never want to go back, I understand them, this is a decisive advantage over the competition
And especially the advantage of having the collimators close to the edge unlike the DSLR
The burst and the endless sorting it generates, the swiveling screen, the touchscreen, the wifi, the gps, I will miss less.
I don't think I’ll buy again this excellent 300mm 2.8 IS II.
I still got the magical 135 mm F2 and 85mm 1.2 , my next wildlife Canon Lens will be a prime EF, surely excellent, not too big (price too) because I take my equipment everywhere, repairable I don't know ...

Every day, especially since the digital and the Internet, our so-called user-friendly world becomes unnecessarily more complicated and deliberately consumerist.
The R5 and R6 are good cameras and Canon has really caught up to the competition but it's not my direction.
The 5D Mark III is 2012, a century after 1912, my favorite year, in which I have been preparing a photo for a very long time.
What if Canon EF finally became a way of life.

As with most things in Perth, Western Australia, the stations and trains on the Transperth network are modern, clean and user friendly.

The architecture of Arnhem Centraal Station exudes a modern, dynamic look that aligns well with the contemporary needs of travelers and the urban environment. I have given my website a bit of an overhaul to try and make it a bit more user friendly. Feel free to have a look
this is the second shot that I've run back through Lr since learning my file sizes were too small. (I think) now y'all can see what I see. If you'd like you can zoom in and see Paradise Lodge (Elev. 5400 ft) and the Skyline Trail that eventually takes you to camp Muir and then the summit. From right center sweeping down is the Nisqually Glacier, mother to the Nisqually River and all of it's beauty. To the right is the much debated Tahoma Peak, I say it's a peak as it is no longer a part of the blown away section of Rainier. It stands at 11,138 ft with over 800ft of prominence. And of course her Majesty herself, Mount Rainier Elevation 14,411 with 13,211 feet of prominence. My fellow hikers and I are on the Plummer Peak trail just under Pinnacle Peak right there.
I realized once I'd finished in Lr that I'd zoned out for about ten minutes while staring at this. I've spent every spare moment this past year climbing all over this wonder and I know that I'll never see it all, but it's been a life changing experience. Thank you to the folks who invented the camera and to those that make it at least semi user friendly for hacks like me. I've really enjoyed being dragged around by my Sony. :-)
I'm sorry if I'm not awarding some of your artworks but I can't always see them in the groups: There's a Flickr Bug that makes the pre-Beta version (which I and a lot of others use) not show up all images in group pools - the only way to see everything is to use the Beta version of Flickr, which I dislike, finding the pre-Beta version far more superior and user-friendly.

Pourquoi? Car le Canon R6, c’est aussi ça :
1) La livraison de la Bague adaptatrice RF–EF offerte par Canon est arrivée 60 jours après l'achat. Heureusement que mon sympathique magasin s'est démené pour m'en prêter une.
Beaucoup de client ont subi cela et c'est scandaleux de la part de Canon de ne pas avoir intégré la bague dans la boite d'origine.
2) Préparez vous à payer (et je ne parle même pas des objectifs RF)
- une carte SD rapide et robuste pour profiter de la rafale comme la SD Sony Tough

- Le R6 a une bonne montée en Iso mais si vous voulez quelques chose de propre par exemple à 12000 isos mieux vaut acheter topaze Denoise certes excellent . Une question: Pourquoi en ai je jamais eu besoin avant?

Cette photo à 12800 iso serait quasiment inexploitable sur 5D Mark III mais n’oublions jamais que le plus simple et le plus beau est de faire des photos quand il y a … de la lumière
- La seconde batterie est indispensable. Il est très difficile d'établir un ratio nombre de photo / durée de la batterie car cela dépend de votre utilisation mais je vous conseille de doubler votre parc de batterie ainsi que le temps de recharge.
Durant des années, j'ai shooté sans jamais penser à la batterie avec une seconde dans le sac jamais utilisée.
3) L’ergonomie du R6 m’a déçu et rien apporté
- La prise en main est moins bonne qu'avant . J'ai pourtant des petites mains et la poignée me semble trop petite. Ceux qui ont de grandes mains ont le petit doigt dans le vide et certains accessoiristes vendent même un socle à rajouter.
J'ai porté des années durant un 5d Mark III avec un 300mm 2,8 mm IS II parfois par le bout de deux doigts pour dire si l'ensemble était équilibré.
- La trappe à carte SD s'ouvre que par friction. Il reste bien une petite fente pour glisser difficilement un ongle mais le 5d Mark III et IV s'ouvrait plus facilement d'une main.
L’écran orientable ne m’a jamais servi car son inclinaison à gauche de l’appareil n’est pas pratique et encore moins avec la L bracket
Le tactile ne m’a jamais servi, sur le terrain des boutons physiques sont plus pratiques
4/ Une expérience utilisateurs qui déçoit parfois:
- Le suivi de l’oeil décroche lorsque cela est trop compliqué dans le feuillage. L’ultime portrait dont vous rêvez avec un sujet sur un joli arrière plan nécessite il cette technologie?
- En billebaude si vous reprenez votre appareil photo, il faudra parfois un certain temps avant que tout se rallume. Il m’est arrivé plusieurs fois d’être obligé d’éteindre complètement le R6 car l’autofocus ne savait plus où il en était.
- Vous voyez un beau couché de soleil , vous prenez votre R6, vous mettez votre oeil dans le viseur et là… déception. Pourquoi ne pas continuer à regarder dans nos bons vieux reflex?
5) Le rendu des R5 et R6 est souvent très différentes d’aspect par rapport aux reflex.
Plus encore si vous montez un objectif natif RF.
Est ce la technologie ou le niveau de détail qui veut ça? Les plans semblent souvent séparés très artificiellement et des couleurs naturelles comme l’herbe sont parfois étranges. Je sais que l’on peut tout modifier en post production mais tout cela me gène et m’éloigne de l’univers picturale et cinématographique.
Ma fille est rentrée de l’école avec une photo scolaire radicalement différente de celle que j’ai vu pendant une décennie, j’ai compris, le photographe canoniste (ma fille avait demandé il y a quelques années ;-) avait acheté un R6 ou R5 et la cours d’école devenait un peu Bienvenue à Gattaca. C’est le progrès paraît-il … Avantage pour la mise au niveau mise au point, il peut aller boire un café.
6) Parlons des objectifs.
Les photos d'hybride Canon avec objectif RF que j'ai pu voir ces derniers mois m'ont donné envie de racheter 1 mois après le R6 un Canon EF 85mm f1,2 II .Je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit le but de Canon qu'on rachète les objectifs EF que l'on avait vendu d’occasion.

Pourquoi ai je fait ça?
Peur de l’obsolescence, d’une grosse vague de décote et peut être un suivisme aidé par un matraquage markéting abondant qui m’a fait céder et aller contre mes convictions de ne jamais acheter un zoom car le rendu n’a vraiment rien à voir avec une focale fixe premium…je l’ai revendu 1 mois après.
Le bilan de cette opération pas très agréable financièrement, c’est que comme dans beaucoup de domaine, si l’on a la sensation que les choses n’iront pas dans notre intérêt , mieux vaut s’abstenir ;-)
Que me manquera t’il le plus du Canon R6
La mise au point en basse lumière, votre 85mm 1.2 va prendre un coup de jeune
La stabilisation hallucinante du 100-500mm net au 1/50 eme au 500mm
La mise au point sur l’oeil, clairement la majorité des photographes mariage, sportif et animalier ne voudront jamais revenir en arrière, je les comprends, c’est un avantage décisif sur la concurrence
Et surtout l’avantage d’avoir les collimateurs près du bord contrairement au reflex
La rafale et le tri interminable qu’elle engendre, l’écran orientable, le tactile, le wifi, le gps, me manqueront moins .
Je ne pense pas reprendre cet excellent EF 300mm 2.8 IS II.
C’est l’avenir, le mode de vie qui dictera ce que je photographierai et déterminera son remplaçant. Il sera EF, excellent, pas trop gros car j’emmène mon matériel partout , réparable je ne sais pas …

Chaque jour, en particulier depuis le numérique et l’internet, notre monde soit disant user- friendly devient inutilement plus compliqué et volontairement consumériste.
Le R5 et le R6 sont de bons appareils photos et Canon a vraiment rattrapé la concurrence mais ce n’est pas ma direction
Le 5D Mark III, c’est 2012, un siècle après 1912, mon année fétiche, sur lequel je prépare une photo depuis très longtemps .
Et si Canon EF devenait finalement un Art de vivre.

This beautiful head is the free group gift from Lelutka, (Lilly)
Shes super user friendly and I love her.
The skin, is the skinnery group gift to go with the lelutka head release "Scarlett" and is up to their usual high standard.
My sweater and Mug are both Tres blah, the hat and hair is an old favourite from Doux.
Sadly this is my last photo on Flickr. I’ve been a member since the beginning of 2006 and since the “new look” is released, I have lost all my enthusiasm for Flickr. The worse thing is, despite of thousands of complaints, Flickr staff hasn’t given a proper answer or the choice to use the “old but user friendly” version.
Some of you may think that I’m exaggerating, but I see it as tyranny in small scale. I am a pro member and this new disaster design is nothing I paid for. I am not asked whether I like it or not. I am not given the option to choose the old version. I don’t want this, but the Flickr attitude is “This is the food in your plate and you either eat or leave”. So, until these people realise that they are cutting the branch that they are sitting on, I won’t be around.

I caught a lovely sunset at Boscombe Pier on Sunday evening, normally a sunrise location for me but it works equally well as a sunset, you just stand on the other side, lol.
So my tripod and I are finally parting company. I have a Winston 3LT and despite me not finding one bad review on it, I just can't get along with it. It's not compatible with my height and I seem to spend most shoots fiddling with it, tightning the head etc... it's not user friendly at all and my photography is being compromised at times. I think I am going to go back to my old Manfrotto.
It's probably me, does anyone else have one of these?
Oh and my 200mm lens has developed a focusing fault.
Things like this happen, I am now reviewing all my equipment and trying not to look at new cameras.
Ferries are not user friendly to horses or ringwraiths!

If it had been upon me, I would go for something more user friendly – say, welcome to the blabla headquaters.But no one is interested in my opinion. The room is empty. Only shadows staring at me as if I'm intruding their secret meeting.

My first upload under the new look Flickr. Now it is up and running properly and I can see my photostream I think I am leaning towards a like for the new format. It is going to take a bit of getting used to as the old layout was so familiar and very user friendly.
