حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ ایک یہودی عورت ان کے پاس آئی اور قبر کے عذاب کا ذکر کرکے کہنے لگی اللہ تجھ کو قبر کے عذاب سے بچائےرکھے۔حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے پوچھا کیا قبر میں عذاب ہوگا؟آپﷺ نے فرمایا: ہاں قبر کا عذاب سچ ہے۔ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں،پھر میں نے اس کے بعد رسول اللہ ﷺ کو کبھی نہیں دیکھا کہ آپﷺنے کوئی نماز پڑھی ہو مگر اس میں قبر کے عذاب سے پناہ نہ مانگی ہو۔ غندر نے اپنی روایت میں اتنا اور اضافہ کیا کہ عذابِ قبر برحق ہے۔

حضرت ابوذر غفاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ آنحضرت ﷺ نے فرمایا میرے پاس (خواب میں) ایک آنے والا (فرشتہ) میرے مالک کے پاس سے آیا اس نے بیان کیا یا مجھ کو خبر دی کہ میری امت میں سے کوئی اس حال میں مرجائے کہ اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کرتا ہو تو وہ بہشت میں جائے گا۔ میں نے عرض کیا وہ زنا کرے گو وہ چوری کرے آپ ؐ نے فرمایا گو وہ زنا کرے گو وہ چوری کرے۔
