Calle de la Compañía con los edificios de la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (UPSA) a la derecha. Al final de la calle se encuentran las torres de la Iglesia del Espíritu Santo (La Clerecía), perteneciente a la universidad.
Calle de la Compañía met aan de rechterzijde de gebouwen van de Pauselijke Universiteit van Salamanca (Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca ). Aan het einde van de straaat de torens van de bij de universiteit horende kerk van de Heilige Geest (Iglesia del Espíritu Santo; La Clerecía).
Calle de la Compañía with the buildings of the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca) on the right. At the end of the street are the towers of the Church of the Holy Spirit (Iglesia del Espíritu Santo; La Clerecía), which belongs to the university.
Calle de la Compañis mit an der rechten Seite die Gebäude der Päpstlichen Universität von Salamanca (Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca). Am Ende der Straße erheben sich die Türme der Kirche des Heiligen Geistes (Iglesia del Espíritu Santo; La Clerecía), die zur Universität gehört.
La Calle de la Compañía, bordée à droite par les bâtiments de l'Université pontificale de Salamanque (Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca). Au bout de la rue se dressent les clochers de l'église du Saint-Esprit (Iglesia del Espíritu Santo ; La Clerecía), qui appartient à l'université.

The Pontifical University of Salamanca (UPSA) offers a variety of degrees and programs, including:
Health Sciences: Nursing, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology, and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
Communication: Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, and Marketing and Communication.
Education: Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Pedagogy.
Engineering and Business: Business Administration and Management of Technological Companies and Computer Engineering.
Humanities: Philosophy, Humanities, and Trilingual Biblical Philology.
The liberal governments of the 19th century led to the exclusion of Theology and Canon Law studies from the University of Salamanca. In 1940, Pope Pius XII established a new university in the same city to restore these two faculties and granted it the status of Pontifical University. The Decree of Erection was signed on September 25, 1940, at the express request of the Spanish episcopate, thus fulfilling the personal concern of Cardinal Plá y Deniel to recover Ecclesiastical Sciences in Salamanca, which had been gradually displaced and definitively suppressed from Spanish universities in 1852. In this way, after several attempts at restoration, Ecclesiastical Studies returned to Salamanca.
En la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (UPSA) se estudian una variedad de grados y programas, incluyendo:
Ciencias de la Salud: Enfermería, Fisioterapia, Logopedia, Psicología, y Ciencias de la Actividad Física y del Deporte.
Comunicación: Periodismo, Comunicación Audiovisual, Publicidad y Relaciones Públicas, y Márketing y Comunicación.
Educación: Maestro en Educación Infantil y Maestro en Educación Primaria, y Pedagogía.
Ingeniería y Empresa: Administración y Dirección de Empresas Tecnológicas e Ingeniería Informática.
Humanidades: Filosofía, Humanidades y Filología Bíblica Trilingüe.
Los gobiernos liberales del siglo XIX hicieron que los estudios de Teología y Derecho Canónico fueran excluidos de la Universidad de Salamanca. El papa Pío XII crea, en 1940, una nueva universidad para restaurar esas dos facultades, en la misma ciudad, y le confiere la categoría de Universidad Pontificia. El Decreto de Erección fue firmado el 25 de septiembre de 1940, por petición expresa del episcopado español, cumpliendo así con la preocupación personal del Cardenal Plá y Deniel de recuperar en Salamanca las Ciencias Eclesiásticas, que habían sido poco a poco desplazadas y suprimidas definitivamente de las universidades españolas en 1852. De esta manera, tras varios intentos de restauración, vuelven a Salamanca los Estudios Eclesiásticos.

A shorebird of grasslands, not shores, the Upland Sandpiper inhabits native prairie and other open grassy areas in North America. Once abundant in the Great Plains, it has undergone steady population declines since the mid-19th century, because of hunting and loss of habitat.

La UPSA, en su objetivo de responder a las necesidades sociales - desde su resurgimiento en 1940 - ha desarrollado una oferta formativa que ha dado paso paulatinamente a nuevas titulaciones.

Déjà que les méthodes managériales de la multinationale japonaise UPSA provoquent des suicides, quand les employés voient ce triste tableau en entrant à l'usine, cela ne peut assurément qu'amplifier leur désespoir!
Et Môssieur Dionis du Séjour, Président-Maire d'Agen, voit ce paysage urbain tous les jours puisqu'ils se trouve sur son trajet, entre son château de Beauregard et l'hôtel de ville.
En plus on ne voit même plus le nom du poste de transformation électrique ni les consignes de secours aux électrisés!

Auf diesem Bänkchen mussten wir einfach ein Selbstauslöser-Erinnerungsfoto an die tolle Tour mit Alfesto und upsa-daisy machen. Nur dumm, dass ausgerechnet in den 10 Sekunden, die mir zur Verfügung standen, um mich zu setzen, eine Nebelschwade hereinschwabbte. Wir haben deswegen herzhaft gelacht.

L'édifice a été partiellement rénové avec de l'argent public pour accueillir les brocanteurs.
Il peut donc être considéré comme un lieu public.
De manière générale les brocanteurs n'aiment pas les photographes car des objets volés peuvent se retrouver involontairement sur leurs étals et cela leur cause des problèmes si le propriétaire d'un objet le voit en photo sur internet. (sic).
Quand même pas très démocratique tout ça!

Able to relocate an Upland Sandpiper along the road outside Sycamore, Illinois this morning. "Uppies" are great prairie birds but very hard to locate in northern Illinois these days. Many thanks to Karen Lund for the assist.

Meinen Kontakten empfehle ich, sich den Bericht 'der Lago Bianco strahlt in Schwarz' des Schweizer Fernsehens wenigstens bis zur dritten interviewten Schlittschuhläuferin anzusehen anzusehen (unterster Link). Es lohnt sich, und er bietet den Flickr-Freunden von upsa-daisy noch eine besondere Überraschung.
