In the Universal Monsters haunted house, this is Dracula’s lair. Some pretty gorey stuff in this section....to include dripping ‘blood’ (water) in the dark.
Remco, 1980
From Remco's 3 3/4" Universal Monster collection. Later versions had glow-in-the-dark features.

Some midnight monster mania here with mostly Neca figures, but also working in a 6-inch Lugosi Dracula. I had to disguise the size difference.
Background is the Extreme Sets Tomb.

As you turn the crank, the bed slides in and the cage drops down. Push the button on the side and the light comes on as the Monsterizer buzzes. Turn the crank again, and the cage pops up while the bed slides out. Remove the monster for glow in the dark terror!

Does this piscine amphibious humanoid really exist?
Remnants of a mysterious animal have come to light in a remote jungle, and a group of scientists intends to determine if the find is an anomaly or evidence of an undiscovered beast. To accomplish their goal, the scientists must brave the most perilous pieces of land South America has to offer. But the terrain is nothing compared to the danger posed by an otherworldly being that endangers their work and their lives.
It's interesting that Mattel didn't giver her a name.

This entry placed as one of our three Runners-Up!
I've been in a bit of a monster mood, especially since posting some recent shots of Van Helsing and the Gill-Man. So here's the Mezco Frankenstein.
This also gave me a chance to use the foam wall I made that doesn't get much play.

SOLD
This piece was painted from an old movie poster. I did a set of 4 of these by commission, Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman and The Mummy.
"Welcome! Y'all just c'mon in here now and make yourself at home!"
For vampires under the supernatural prohibition against entering domiciles unless invited...
"We're just gettin' supper ready! Including some fresh baked pies! Come right on in!"
...the South is the place to be.
"What did you say your name was, sweetheart? Vulade?"
"He said 'Vlad", Momma!"
"Oh, dear, well, 'Vlad', then! You're sure not from around here with that heavy cloak! Come right inside, we got the air condition going!"
"Come on in, I'll pour ya some sweet tea!"

Not to worry for our Southern family! We're planning a part two as Vlad details how he barely escaped!
For a very fun take on this theme:

Gill-man, or “the Creature” from Universal Studio’s The Creature from the Black Lagoon, is a classic and iconic sea monster. This particular toy was part of a Burger King promotion in 1997 and was recently given to me as a gift by BadlandsBookCzars.
