I went to get a booster shot on a grayish December morning. Everybody present was of course wearing a mask. While waiting in line I caught the scene reflected on a silvery surface.

Finally, the temps feel like Spring as 2016's first Honey Bee (for me) visits an awakening Grecian Wildflower in my garden.
The west side of Butterfield Canyon is in a different county, and the name changes to Middle Canyon Road

Mulshi dam near Pune.The waters of the dam have receded now that there are no rains but I think this shot was worth getting my shoes a little muddy.

Was wäre London wohl ohne das Parlament und den Big Ben? Nicht nur das Gebäude an sich, sondern auch das Leben drum herum interessiert mich. Wie ist es so unter all diesen berühmten Gebäuden zu Leben? Klar ich komme aus Bayern, bin es also gewohnt mit altem Zeug um mich rum und trotzdem ist London doch eine ganz andere Welt für mich.
What would London probably without Parliament and the Big Ben? Not only the building itself, but also the lives of all around me interested. As it is so famous among all these buildings to life? Clear I come from Bavaria, am so used to the old stuff around me and yet London is but a completely different world for me.

The beach huts at Dawlish stand in defiance against the elements. Sometimes washed away or even arson . They always seem to prevail .

Both of these taken Sunday morning. I was there to shoot my "classic black and gold" photos, but ended up seeing a pretty awesome sunrise, too.
In this version, the sky has formed some colors but isn't yet bright enough to wash out the city lights. The city lights are still very vibrant and reflect brightly against the dark river. The clouds frame the buildings perfectly.

I have such a backlog of photos to get through right now, it was hard to pick one for today.

The weirdest part of this photo is that it was taken at the end of summer, despite looking like late fall or mid winter. I plan to return here at the first snowfall. Pretty crazy little spot, isn't it?

In reviewing L'Enfant's plan, Thomas Jefferson insisted the legislative building be called the "Capitol" rather than "Congress House". The word "Capitol" comes from Latin and is associated with the Roman temple to Jupiter Optimus Maximus on Capitoline Hill.[8] In addition to coming up with a city plan, L'Enfant had been tasked with designing the Capitol and President's House, however he was dismissed in February 1792 over disagreements with President George Washington and the commissioners, and there were no plans at that point for the Capitol.
Like the principal buildings of the executive and judicial branches, the Capitol is built in a distinctive neoclassical style and has a white exterior. Though both its east and west elevations are formally referred to as fronts, only the east front was intended for the reception of visitors and dignitaries.
