This unique experience will kick off with an exclusive glimpse of the Chinese Dairy – usually out of bounds to the public – where you will be launch a lotus flower lantern out onto the lake on arrival to create a stunning spectacle.
Woburn Abbey, near Woburn in Bedfordshire, England, is a country house and the seat of the Duke of Bedford.
Woburn Abbey, comprising Woburn Park and its buildings, was originally founded as a Cistercian abbey in 1145.
Taken from its monastic residents by Henry VIII and given to John Russell, 1st Earl of Bedford in 1547, it became the seat of the Russell Family and the Dukes of Bedford.
The Abbey was largely rebuilt starting in 1744 by the architects Henry Flitcroft and Henry Holland for the 4th Duke.
Anna Maria, the wife of the 7th Duke, originated the afternoon tea ritual in 19th-century England.
The art collection of the Duke of Bedford, is amongst the finest in private hands, and encompasses a wide range of western artwork. The holdings, comprise some 250 paintings, including works by Rubens, Van Dyck, Canaletto (24 paintings (View of the Entrance to the Venetian Arsenal, c. 1732 - one of Canaletto's greatest works)) and Velasquez.

Astoria, Oregon
The Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa is a luxury boutique hotel located in Astoria, Oregon. It’s uniquely situated 600 feet into the Columbia River, offering breathtaking views of the river and the Astoria-Megler Bridge from every room.
The hotel is built on the site of the former Union Fisherman’s Cooperative Packing Company, which was established in 1895 by Finnish immigrants. This cooperative was a significant part of Astoria’s thriving salmon canning industry.
The vision for the hotel came from Robert “Jake” Jacob, an Astoria native, who wanted to create a luxury boutique hotel that reflected the town’s rich history. Despite the challenges of building on old pier pilings, the hotel was designed to evoke the look and feel of the historic canneries, with features like smokestacks, exposed steel beams, and wooden trusses. The hotel opened its doors to guests in August 2005.
In 2019, Richard “Rick” Takach, Jr. and his investment partners acquired the hotel with the aim of preserving its unique character while enhancing its luxury offerings. The hotel now includes a Hall of History, curated by the Clatsop County Historical Society, which showcases stories and historical photos celebrating Astoria’s Scandinavian culture and its legacy as the "Salmon Fishing Capital of the World".
It’s a place where history and luxury come together, offering guests a unique experience that honors the past while providing modern comforts.

The new Snow Leopard Exhbit was very popular in it's opening 2008 season. The baby Snow Leopard was quite the draw!

A total of 9 minutes later the pup is finally free and starting to look for some sustenance.
This was an absolutely awesome and wonderful opportunity to witness Nature at its very best.
Something I have never seen in real life (TV does not give it justice) and I felt truly honoured and very humble to have been there.
The interesting thing was that those watching did not applaud, in fact apart from the odd "What's going on?" it was almost total silence.
I can only assume that everyone felt as bewitched and awestruck as I did.
It was incredibly brilliant – as you can probably tell, even now I am still very emotional :-))
it will probably be a month or so before the staff can ascertain the sex, and they are all hoping for a female, so fingers crossed … :-)
