Building on the momentum of the AI for Good Global Summit 2025, and the recent landmark UN General Assembly resolution on AI, this high-level event focussed on advancing concrete Summit outcomes across three critical areas of action: building AI skills and capacity, strengthening governance, and moving from principles to implementation to create real-world impact. Experts from government, the UN, industry, academia, and civil society will discuss how to equip societies with the knowledge and tools to participate in the AI era, while highlighting the role of international standards in turning policy into practice.
The event was organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and hosted by Deloitte during the United Nations General Assembly.

Common Eider with chicks, Ederfugl med unger.
Eiders are both migratory and residents in Iceland and very common along the coast. They feed on mussels, seasnails, crabs etc. which they swallow as a whole and then grind in their stomach. They also feed to some extent on sea weeds.
The common eider produces the eider down, which is harvested in colonies in protected areas by eider farmers. Eiders often nest in company with other birds, such as Arctic Terns. During the breeding period the female will stay on the nest, even when it is approached by humans. Once the chicks have hatched, the female leads the group immediately to the water where they are safer. In order to offer protection from predators (Gull, Skua etc.) the females with chicks form larger groups on the water.
