First Lady Jeannette Kagame attended the Global Hope Coalition event, hosted on the margins of the 72nd United Nations General Assembly in New York, on 18 September 2017.
Also in attendance, First Lady of Mali, Mrs. Keita Aminata Maiga, Director General of UNESCO, Ms. Irina Bokova, as well as other participants.
The event explored the theme: Women, Children and Trauma of Extremism.

Georgia joins the US-initiated UN Reform Political Declaration to be signed by UN Member States. The document was joined by Georgia during Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili's visit to attend the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly.

Today the head of the Government attended "UN Reform", an event organized by the US President and the UN Secretary General. U.S. President Donald Trump and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres spoke at the event. They put particular emphasis on the UN activities and reforms undertaken with the support of the Organization.
Today, Georgian Prime Minister will also meet with President Donald Tusk of the European Council and OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger.
During his visit to New York, on September 19, will participate in OGP's High-Ranking Event during which the Prime Minister of Georgia will succeed French President Emanuel Macron as OGP President for one-year tenure. Georgia, for the first time in OGP's history, is about to chair this organization (initiative) bringing together 75 countries.
Georgian Prime Minister is scheduled to deliver a speech at the 72nd UN General Assembly Session on September 21.
During his visit, the head of the Government will also hold bilateral meetings.
On 25 September 2019, Our Chairperson First Lady Jeannette Kagame attended the high level event organised by Her Excellency Fatima Maada Bio of Sierra Leone, on advancing the campaign on the reduction of early marriage and rape in Africa.

First Lady Jeannette Kagame attended OAFLA High Level Event that was held on the margins of the 72nd United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The First Lady joined the President of OAFLA, First Lady of Ethiopia, Roman Tesfaye as well as fellow African First Ladies to discuss the theme: 'Global Partnership towards Harnessing the Demographic Dividend in Africa.'
The First Lady took part in a panel discussion that explored the theme: 'Implementing the AU Roadmap to Harness the Demographic Dividend in Africa: Ending AIDS by 2030.'
The event was held on 19 September 2017.

This event aims to accelerate the pace towards achieving equal pay for work of equal value, aligning with SDG 8.5 and SDG 5. One year after the launch of EPIC, global leaders, including Heads of State, CEOs of multinational companies, Heads of employers’ and workers’ organizations, and representatives of renowned universities and civil society organizations are coming together to publicly demonstrate their commitment to work together under the EPIC umbrella by making a pledge.
