The USAID Signature Event highlighted the strategic and transformational partnerships through which the global community can end extreme poverty, complete the unfinished business of the MDGs, and achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Complemented by a “Marketplace for Entrepreneurs and Innovators,” the event featured presentations from USAID partners who have achieved ground-breaking results (or who have shown the potential to achieve transformational results) and individuals who have benefited from these partnerships.

Connect4Climate joined the 74th United Nations General Assembly and UN Climate Action Summit in New York City to support: youth engagement through a new #YouthTakeover and interactive Youth Policy Jam; sustainable fashion through panel discussions and exhibitions of X-Ray Fashion 360; and amplification of climate finance and climate adaptation initiatives.

This event aims to accelerate the pace towards achieving equal pay for work of equal value, aligning with SDG 8.5 and SDG 5. One year after the launch of EPIC, global leaders, including Heads of State, CEOs of multinational companies, Heads of employers’ and workers’ organizations, and representatives of renowned universities and civil society organizations are coming together to publicly demonstrate their commitment to work together under the EPIC umbrella by making a pledge. Speakers include: Guðni Th.
