Mind flayers, also known as illithids, and sometimes referred to as ghaik by the githyanki, were sadistic aberrations feared by sentient creatures on many worlds across the multiverse due to their powerful psionic abilities. From their twisted lairs deep in the Underdark, these alien entities sought to expand their dominion over all other lifeforms, controlling their minds to use them as obedient thralls. They consumed their victims' very personality by extracting and devouring their brains while they were still alive
Maybe this is the end? I can't remember the exact moment it happened. All I remember is serving in the Temple in the Underdark with my fellow Sisters, and then—I'm watching myself being carried by a skeleton through a graveyard. That's right. Watching myself. Some sort of out-of-body experience.
It's funny. I thought I'd be scared, or at least panicked. I realize I'm dead, but it doesn't bother me. Even as the crystal spiders begin to gather around the skeleton holding my body, even as I watch one crawl up the bones, making its way to drain what remains of me, I feel calmly at ease.
In fact, I feel more alive now than I ever had. So maybe death wasn't the end? Maybe this is the beginning.
Many strange and terrifying creatures lurk in the damp caves of the Underdark.
My builds for BioniLUG's "High Fantasy" collab for the 2023 convention circuit (the myconid for the "creature" category, and the crystals for "scenery"). I'm really pleased with how both came out!

I've put off making a new mermaid, something I haven't had since 2007 in SL! :O
The riptide tail from Aii&Ego was too beautiful to pass up and fits my aesthetic so I of course had to get a full av going with many pieces found throughout the Fairelands this year!

In memory of my E., all the victims and defenders of Ukraine, of the mountains of my Crimea that have been stolen and destroyed forever, just like my childhood memories. A brief sketch, so that I might bring this place to life and realize it. And maybe, just maybe, so that my pain might become a little less intense. Just a little.
This project is the search for a broken, war-torn home. A place where I could rebuild it.
in a quiet, protected, and safe location. Among the mountains, greenery, and small towns. Where time stands still. A place where E. could tell me stories, and we could argue about philosophical works, physics, and myths. A place where one might find a path to the world of fairies. The second world is our fantasy, from one of our university metaphysics and mythology lectures. What if the fairies under the hills have technology, progress, and magic
This is the world where you live. Your eyes have not seen the horrors of war, and you have not paid the highest price. My brave and strong warrior.

Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: The late emperor's interest in the Abrion sector begins to make sense to me. The sector is much more than just a bunch of agri-worlds. Kamino, Scarif, and now Rishi. The data I recovered from Aurek-14 on Scarif, held the coordinates to a highly classified subterranean vault on Rishii. This vault should hold a map of some significance. I’ve sent a team to investigate and recover the map.

*loud noises of intertwined screams and roars*
Lt. Harkona: Commander Bannon come in! Commander! The local wildlife doesn’t agree with our expedition! I’m not sure we’ll make it back with the haul!
Cdr. Bannon: I’ve not hired the best damn local to come up with excuses! Just make sure you bring back the map. Sacrifice a legion of stormtroopers if you have to! Build a living buckethead wall for all I care! Just bring me the kriffing map!

Many strange flora and fauna lurk in the places where sunlight never reaches. Built for this New Elementary article. This was a fun little build, I intended the glow in the dark 1x1s to represent eggs from the creepy spiders, but under the UV light they glow pretty brightly so it doesn't come across as well. I also wanted to include some more color, so the path our adventurers is walking on is lavender/lilac, but you can barely see it with the stalagmites.

An agent of the Usurper. The Drow Underdark Paladin is an envoy of Murder. Skilled in all weapons and armour, the Paladin favours plate armour, shield and his wicked machete blade.
Bred in the caves of the underdark their skin is luminescent and their silver hair is Tarred black and rigid. Its spikes are a deadly weapon.
