A freshly planted wheat field painted by beautiful light and shadows at sunset, in West Berkshire, UK. Shot in 590nm Infrared. A panorama composed of multiple images, to be able to include more of the beautiful sky :)
The lens used is a Minolta MD 35mm F2.8. Fantastic 35mm lens for Infrared work. Very sharp, very small, and quite resistant to flaring. Couldn't ask for more!

Comments and help with wildlife identification are appreciated. Thanks.
I want to take a moment to thank all of you who take the time to visit my account here on flickr. I appreciate all the support and without you, I literally would not have had the opportunity to go to South Africa last month.
You see, one of the vice presidents of the Photographic Society of South Africa, Johann van der Walt, originally invited a photographer from the UK. Unfortunately, the guy in the UK shot Canon, and Nikon wasn't exactly keen on sponsoring a photographer who doesn't even use their equipment. As luck would have it, Johann went home and flipped through his (then) new issue of American Photo...the Nov/Dec 2009 issue to be exact. That issue featured me and two other flickr photographers. I got an email from Johann shortly after, inviting me to come to South Africa. So you see, flickr helped me expand my horizons and go on a wonderful trip and gain new experiences.
Flickr is you. It is me. It is all of us. And it is social. But like all things social, there are up sides and down sides. I think it's important to focus on the positive aspects. So thank you once again. And you never know, your opportunity could be next! Keep shooting!

A favourite location of mine that has been shown in my pages before. But there are subtle changes each time I come here. Gradually the storage tanks from the old Thames Haven and Coryton Refinery will give way to warehouses. It's an Enterprise Park apparently. Hmmm...
On the left is the abandoned jetty from the Occidental Refinery that never was. Built in the 1970's, never opened.

Location - Godolphin House, Cornwall, UK..
Shot taken through a spy hole built into a thick granite wall adjacent to the front door of the 16th Century Manor House. I have no idea who the person is in the shot, just a day tripper reading the information card on the history of the room ?
Sitting on the south bank of the river Clyde at town of Greenock lies two small lighthouses. The one pictured here has a partner just a couple of hundred meters away on a small Island. Both lighthouses are thought to have preformed the same function, to warn shipping of the rocky outcrop lying just a few 10’s of meters off shore but in what was once one of the busiest ports in the UK.
Shot here in low key to try to convey foreboding and drama that these constructions were designed to avoid, I think the mood is enhanced by the dramatic cloud filled sky, but you may think differently and that is OK too😉
Container ship MSC Eugenia departs London Gateway Port en route to Felixstowe, UK. Shot from Canvey Island, Essex UK 08:20am.
