Former IC&E #6450 is on the point of MMNAU heading west past the remains of C&NW code line near Tyler, Minnesota on a partly cloudy spring afternoon.

It's my FLICKR birthday tomorrow and I will be 1 year old (joy!) and today I received my very first testimonial from my very creative Flickr friend Jacob Tyler Brooks, just 364 days later. Many many thanks Jacob for your warm words and I look forward to seeing your girlfriend even more ;-) This one is dedicated to you as it was one of my first released here, but unfortunately back then I was a mere pleb, so it will be good to give these little mites a fresh view.
These are raindrops on my window with some processing and I was thrilled to see all those smiling faces in each one when I pressed a few filter buttons. Thanks again Jacob, you've made my anniversary worth celebrating!

Fifty-five years ago today, Charles Schulz's cartoon special It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown aired for the first time on television. While Charlie Brown and his friends were out trick-or-treating, Snoopy made his screen debut as the World War I flying ace, whose sole objective was to find the Red Baron and shoot him down. Snoopy’s airborne duel with Von Richthofen left his dog house riddled with bullet holes, but the brave beagle lived to fight another day.

Was fortunate enough to see a brilliant male Annas' hummingbird this afternoon. Here it is in full display, when you can see the bright iridescent gorget on its neck and head.

Inutile dire che sono stato colpito da questi palazzi di mattoni rossi, in contrasto con il cielo blu di Dublino. Lo stile in sé dei palazzi, le linee, le stesse grondaie, era tutto molto cinematografico
Non potevo perdermi uno dei pochi momenti di cielo sereno durante il viaggio!

This is the guy I was out shooting with yesterday, Tyler Biard.
Putting in our approximate path into Google Maps, it looks like we covered a distance of about 8.5km, probably closer to 9 after taking into account for meandering; we started in Highlands, walked Ada Boulevard, up the 50th Street pedestrian bridge and back, then to Strathcona Science Park, then back and up to Abbottsfield.
