Was fortunate enough to see a brilliant male Annas' hummingbird this afternoon. Here it is in full display, when you can see the bright iridescent gorget on its neck and head.

Photoshoot I did of Tyler's car (and many other cars that night) in a warehouse in the south of Calgary, AB. Thanks to Tyler for getting access to such a great location.
This is the guy I was out shooting with yesterday, Tyler Biard.
Putting in our approximate path into Google Maps, it looks like we covered a distance of about 8.5km, probably closer to 9 after taking into account for meandering; we started in Highlands, walked Ada Boulevard, up the 50th Street pedestrian bridge and back, then to Strathcona Science Park, then back and up to Abbottsfield.
tyler came to visit me in the city and we had a fantastically AWESOME photo adventure all around the city - it feels great to be taking pictures for the sake of pictures again.

Tyler is part of a local band, Oh Susana. Tyler's original session day was rained out as well. Today has been an awesome day...not too breezy, in the mid 70's. Real pleasant.
Tyler had this awesome location picked out. I liked what was in the background, even more so when it was turned into bokeh.
I think this is one of the few times that I've posted something that I took, wide open on my 50mm f/1.8 II. Half the time it's not as sharp as I'd like it to be so I usually try to shoot at f/2.8. I'm glad I tried a few at f/1.8.
I also really liked the square crop on this one. I feel like it suited it the best.
