When I happen to see beautiful landscapes on tv, I cann't stop myself to try and take pictures.. sometimes I am lucky ('cause the images move very fast)

February has been such a bad month.. not too cold, but mostly cloudy or rainy.. we had only 4% of the time some sunshine! Also we do not have such beautiful landscapes!!

abandoned Kurhotel L.

I did it again while watching a tv docu... one picture I succeeded to take well... too beautiful to let pass by and do nothing!

The New Year has come, it's time to go to bed...

A habit? An escape? An addiction?

According to the statistics in the UK and US people are watching TV an average of 3-4 hours per day, every day.

If I only count up to 80 years, that's 10 years without sleeping, 87.600 hours in blue light from birth to death.

Adverts, news, weather, sport, shows, movies, episodes, repeat...

Is this how we are supposed to spend our time on Earth in our evenings till the end?

We all need escapes, no question about that. But it matters where we escape into and for how long for.

I stopped broadcast TV 15 years ago and stopped streaming from devices 5 years ago. I'm off the Blue Wheels now.

What can I report?

I've spent around 2000 evening hours on learning to play the guitar, then 2000 evening hours on creating, thinking, reading, learning and writing thanks to learning photography.

The next thousands of blue light free evenings will contain learning meditation, drawing a portrait, sculpting a bust, clarinet, trumpet, the list will go on as long my mind and body will go on.

I was born into TV culture and only by being away from it I've gained perspective and insight for myself that I wasn't just consuming TV - TV was consuming me and my time.

I feel extremely grateful that I have this pocket of time available to me just now, and for living in an era where most lessons/knowledge is free and available at my fingertips to grow and be more balanced in my life.

My evenings are containing silence, palpable joy and meaning personal to me now. TV is not designed to give me those, it's not in it's nature.

TV is designed only to give me the blues.

Its a Drama...about a cat burglar

As seen on Springwatch 2020 episode 9, Tuesday 9th June

Berlin Mitte.

Der Schatten einer Straßenlaterne auf der Mauer des Abgeordnetenhauses sieht aus wie der Fernsehturm.

The shadow of a street lamp on the wall of the House of Representatives looks like the Berlin TV Tower.

Simkha likes to watch some TV programmes like soccer or documentary about nature. On New Year's Eve, a combination of both happened: a live mouse ran out onto the football field! Simha tried to catch her.

Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!

They look just as into the marvel movies as their dad :P

"Was zur Hölle....!?" dachte ich, als ich den alten TV-Rahmen während eines Fotoshootings der etwas anderen Art erblickte. Meine Ideen explodierten und selbst die kleinsten Synapsen in den letzten Ecken meines Kopfes tanzten vor Freude. :D

"What the hell....!?" I thought when I spotted the old TV frame during a photo shoot of a different kind. My ideas exploded and even the smallest synapses in the far corners of my head danced with joy. :D

I sat and watched tv in the evening - I woke and thought, "Gotta take my 365 photo for today … "

how to watch the Olympics

My tv-out is completely broken... gun shot wounds to the face...

…and one of the greatest examples of group think is the stigma given to conspiracy theories. The phrase “conspiracy theory” gives a distinct impression to the average person. The JFK assassination, Area 51, Roswell, government cover ups, strange disappearances… These subjects probably sound a bit too fantasy for the average person. And it’s quite understandable. They’re supposed to sound made up. Throughout the mistranslation of time, and embellishment of these stories, facts were added or omitted. Some may be true and some may be false, but one thing’s for sure, if a global secret needed to remain hidden, yet began emerging among the public, the best cover up is to embellish or alter the story until it sounds ludicrous. So what happens when the secret involves the government and the government has intimate ties to the mainstream media. And the mainstream media, as said before, has been proven to sway at least 80% of the public’s opinion. The logic is undeniable. Media in every form is put in place to make people feel stupid for even keeping an open mind towards conspiracy theories.
