-Loretta: "Yes, I like ours"
-me: "which ours?"
-Loretta: "This one, our backyard, the outside, where the birds sing, the wind whispers and the trees make me feel alive. And I feel happy and at peace, and like part of something bigger".
-me: "Well...you're not wrong little one. I will have to agree with you!".
I hope cooler days are here soon. This heat is making the girls do some really weird stuff like feeding the fish upside down.

What can I say...I was a fan of overall jeans when I was in middle and high school..and I still am!

Rita heard today was the first day of May; she told me she's always hear the saying "April showers bring May flowers" so she insisted she wanted to go "water the flowers", but I reminded her that we live in Alaska, and unfortunately we don't get flowers until like June-July. She's a stubborn little one and she skipped nap today so I did not want to contradict her. Pick your battles they say...
