TS Royalist is the Sea Cadets flagship, a training brig that takes 24 cadets to sea for six day voyages. The vessel was designed by Acubens and built during 2014/2015 at the Spanish shipyard of Astilleros Gondan. The Princess Royal officially named the Marine Society and Sea Cadets’ flagship, TS Royalist.

The brig design draws on large faster yachts, offering greater use of space, with better all-round sailing ability and performance. The ship is seen at its home port of Gosport.

Aufgrund einer baubedingten Totalsperrung der Main-Weser-Bahn für den Ausbau der S-Bahn-Linie S6 in den ersten beiden Wochen der hessischen Osterferien 2023 wurden durch den Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund zur Abdeckung der Verkehrsströme montags bis freitags zusätzliche Züge als RE 16 zwischen Friedberg (Hess) und Frankfurt (Main) bestellt. Diese aus Lokomotiven der Baureihe 245 mit Doppelstockwagen gebildeten Züge nahmen aber nicht etwa den Weg über Hanau, sondern über die eingleisige Strecke Friedberg (Hess) - Rosbach v d Höhe - Friedrichsdorf (Ts) und dann weiter über die "Homburger Bahn" nach Frankfurt (Main) Hbf. Hier sehen wir 245 018 mit RE 99041 Friedberg (Hess) - Frankfurt (Main) Hbf im Bahnhof Bad Homburg, welchen er ohne Halt durchfährt. Das stattliche Gebäude des Kaiserbahnhofs (Homburg vor der Höhe war eine beliebte Sommerresidenz von Kaiser Wilhelm II.) wurde am 26. Oktober 1907 in Betrieb genommen und bildet eine würdige Kulisse für diesen dort nicht alltäglichen Zug.

Due to a construction-related total closure of the Main-Weser-Bahn for the extension of the S-Bahn line S6 in the first two weeks of the Hessian Easter holidays 2023, additional trains were ordered by the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund as RE 16 between Friedberg (Hess) and Frankfurt (Main) to cover the traffic flows on Mondays to Fridays. These trains, consisting of class 245 locomotives with double-decker coaches, did not take the route via Hanau, but via the single-track line Friedberg (Hess) - Rosbach v d Höhe - Friedrichsdorf (Ts) and then via the "Homburger Bahn" to Frankfurt (Main) Hbf. Here we see 245 018 with RE 99041 Friedberg (Hess) - Frankfurt (Main) Hbf in Bad Homburg station, which it passes through without stopping. The impressive building of the Kaiserbahnhof (Homburg vor der Höhe was a popular summer residence of Kaiser Wilhelm II) was put into service on 26 October 1907 and forms a commendable backdrop for this train, which is not a common sight there.

The TS Royalist is a sail training ship launched in 2014 as a replacement for a previous ship of the same name, TS Royalist (1971). She entered service with The Marine Society and Sea Cadets in 2015.

The following specifications are for the Sail Training Vessel Playfair built for Toronto Brigantine Inc. as a sail training vessel. TS Playfair is a traditionally-rigged brigantine training ship operated by Toronto Brigantine Inc., a sail-training Canadian registered charity based in Toronto, Canada. Playfair, along with her sister ship S.T.V. Pathfinder, operate a youth sail training program on the Great Lakes during the summer months. This program is one of the very few sail training programs where all of the crew except for the captain are in high school (13–19 years old). The summer training is followed by a winter program where youth work through higher levels of training syllabus to become accredited members of the crew the following year. Op 29 december was aanvankelijk het idee om de 186 102 + 186 251 te fotograferen. Deze zou via Bad Bentheim naar Oss rijden en als Lz naar Waalhaven Zuid. Helaas had deze trein ruim 4 uur vertraging en was deze niet meer in het licht te fotograferen. Om deze reden werd eind van de middag maar even gekeken bij de Betuweroute ter hoogte van Valburg. Ik had namelijk gelezen dat een ÖBB 1016 haar containertrein in Emmerich had achtergelaten. Na enig wachten verscheen dan ook "Wouter" 1275 624 (TS-107) met trein Emmerich-Maasvlakte.
