TS Royalist is the Sea Cadets flagship, a training brig that takes 24 cadets to sea for six day voyages. The vessel was designed by Acubens and built during 2014/2015 at the Spanish shipyard of Astilleros Gondan. The Princess Royal officially named the Marine Society and Sea Cadets’ flagship, TS Royalist.

The brig design draws on large faster yachts, offering greater use of space, with better all-round sailing ability and performance. The ship is seen at its home port of Gosport.

Certainly not a car I'd expected to see on a side street this morning.

Op 29 december was aanvankelijk het idee om de 186 102 + 186 251 te fotograferen. Deze zou via Bad Bentheim naar Oss rijden en als Lz naar Waalhaven Zuid. Helaas had deze trein ruim 4 uur vertraging en was deze niet meer in het licht te fotograferen. Om deze reden werd eind van de middag maar even gekeken bij de Betuweroute ter hoogte van Valburg. Ik had namelijk gelezen dat een ÖBB 1016 haar containertrein in Emmerich had achtergelaten. Na enig wachten verscheen dan ook "Wouter" 1275 624 (TS-107) met trein Emmerich-Maasvlakte. Valburg, 29 december 2016.

TS Queen Mary is a retired Clyde steamer launched in 1933 and now being preserved as a museum ship. She was built at the William Denny shipyard at Dumbarton for Williamson-Buchanan Steamers. The 871 gross registered ton steamer was powered by three direct drive steam turbines, and carried 2,086 passengers making her the largest (though not the longest) excursion turbine on the River Clyde.
