Some behind-the-scenes shots from the 06 Loreal Trophy competition.
Yesterday-evening we had a dancecontest,and we won in ballroom.
We where second in the Latindance contest.
So we had 2 trophy's in one day,it was great!!
This was really challenging to photograph. The ball and boot are 3 dimensional, so I needed a small aperture to keep them both in focus (from front to back). I found I got the best results when positioning the flash directly above the trophy (just out of shot). This helped to light up the sides of the glass trophy.
I used a macro twin light, and powered the B light 8:1 & +3. The B light was directed straight down on the trophy from above.
