The observation deck on the 32nd floor of Olivia Star is a publicly accessible viewing space from where you can admire a unique view of the entire Tricity.
Last years trip to America was dominated by forest fires and its affects. This photo taken in Richland one of the Tri Cities of Washington and depicts a late arrival at one of the beaches along the Columbia River. Directly behind the pickup the sun is making its last efforts for the day whilst the sky, choked with a combination of sun and smoke creates an eerie scene. Incidentally we ate at the restaurant shown here.

University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, no longer "fit for purpose" the concrete buildings known as "Little Brasilia" are either now gone or unused and under threat. This block of teaching laboratories and class-rooms may be "repurposed", according to the Uni chap I spoke with.

I need to go back here and retake this photo, possibly under different conditions or time of day. The photo has been modified more than I prefer but I like the feel of the results. This is a closed road within the confines of the Peninsula Unit of McNary Wildlife Refuge.
