Il Triathlon è uno sport multidisciplinare individuale, che prevede anche competizioni a squadre.

Il triathlon si articola su tre discipline che si svolgono in successione e senza soluzione di continuità; esse sono comuni a tutti gli atleti ed hanno un ordine fisso: nuoto, ciclismo e corsa.
