Hub has decided he need to share his cold with me, so no more new shapes but luckily, I did have a few spare.
I will catch up with the rest of the shapes shots tomorrow, when I hope to have regained the use of both my nostrils ;-)

I really love this as an ornament. Very impressed with the precision of this pyramid and no idea where she got the idea from. We spent some sessions with a master potter who loved glazes and Raku. This is not a raku firing but I love the effect. We had lots of laughs in our sessions and our tutor had/ has a great sense of humour. Just as well. LOL
Dazzling Diamonds is a paper pieced pattern I designed for the BMQG Challenge to create a mini quilt using the colors of QuiltCon. This quilt is made using Kona Solids and finishes at 24" square.

A simple fractal written on an emulated Sinclair ZX Spectrum computer.
The spectrum's processor only ran at 3.5Mhz and due to rendering the fractal taking so long at that speed, I increased the processor in the emulator settings to run at 100Mhz and even then it takes a long time.
The code is not elegant as I am sure you will agree!
The keffiyeh is a traditional headdress typically worn by Arab men made of a square of cloth, usually cotton, folded and wrapped in various styles around the head. It is commonly found in arid climate areas to provide protection from direct sun exposure, as well as for occasional use in protecting the mouth and eyes from blown dust and sand. Its distinctive woven check pattern originated in an ancient Mesopotamian representation of either fishing nets or ears of grain.

Many Palestinian keffiyeh are a mix of cotton and wool, which lets them dry quickly and keep the wearer’s head warm. The keffiyeh is usually folded in half, into a triangle, and the fold is worn across the forehead. Often, the keffiyeh is held in place by a rope circlet, called an Agal or Akal.
It's been sunny and warm, the last few days and these boats here were forming some nice triangles. Let's see how long will it stay this warm; boats will continue to form triangles, regardless of the weather. :)

A small piece of paper folded a few times into a Pyramid shape so it can stand up. Then moving it around under a light to highlight the texture of the paper.
The overall height is less than two inches.
Anyway it was a bit of a last min rush job!

The bottom triangle is anchored in some styrofoam to keep it upright and steady enough to support the second triangle. Way more fun than I ever had with these things in math class....
Spotted in the underpass while driving into town. Slightly late I am afraid, it has been a very busy week here, we even had a tornado! for the first time ever in Papamoa. We did not get affected though, luckily. We were on our way to Mike's mum's funeral in the pouring rain and during the service we learnt of a tornado hammering the neighbourhood where we live.
