Tonight June 19, 2015 and for a couple of nights after this one you won’t want to miss the great extravaganza in the western sky after sunset. The brightest, second-brightest and third-brightest celestial bodies of nighttime are the moon, and the planets Venus and Jupiter, respectively. On these nights, these three bright worlds lie close together in Earth’s evening twilight sky.
In polite company three tends to be a crowd. But apparently not here. This trifecta of Blue Oaks are intertwined like intimate lovers. The perfect triad standing the test of time and the elements.

Another little bit of "futzing" in Photoshop, created from scratch in Photoshop (ie no photographic starting point). I call this one "Triad".
These beautiful daffodils in Greensboro, NC, deserve a closeup picture. They're that pretty. During the first week in March, when this photo was snapped, daffodils are pretty much in full bloom. A lovely taste of spring in the last couple weeks of winter.
This guy lost a point on his right side so now he goes on as three. Young buck in Franklin, Wisconsin.

The Eagle Nebula (catalogued as Messier 16 or M16, and as NGC 6611, and also known as the Star Queen Nebula) is a young open cluster of stars in the constellation Serpens, discovered by Jean-Philippe de Cheseaux in 1745–46. Both the "Eagle" and the "Star Queen" refer to visual impressions of the dark silhouette near the center of the nebula, an area made famous as the "Pillars of Creation" imaged by the Hubble Space Telescope. The nebula contains several active star-forming gas and dust regions, including the aforementioned Pillars of Creation. The Eagle Nebula lies in the Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way.
