A Skate Rink on the frozen Songhua River which flows through Harbin and is frozen for nine months of the year.

The Songhua is one of the primary rivers of China and is 1850kms long.

I asked these friendly young ladies if I could take their photo. They said yes.

Zhongyang Street (or Central Street) in the centre of Harbin is the longest pedestrian street in Asia and is 1.4 kms long and is the only street in Harbin which is cobbled. The street leads down to the Songhua River.
