Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 Fashion Trend #2: Color. For colder seasons designers normally prefer using neutral or reserved colors like black, brown, navy, cream, dark violet, etc. However, Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collections abound in brighter hues like crimson, neon orange, purple, sky blue and others.
:O :O :O HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Citi Trends (13,150 square feet)
4027 West Mercury Boulevard, Hampton Plaza, Hampton, VA
Opened in 2004, renovated in January 2020; originally part of GEX (August 9th, 1962-1977), later Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre (May 1982-1993), Chuck E. Cheese's (1993-May 2002)
This is the store's back wall, and where the showroom was located. Having opened in 1982, Hampton began with a "balcony" stage, as seen in this video from 1988. Not too long after that the stage received a "porch" façade, and in 1993 it was converted to a 2-stage, which is the form it was in when I visited as a kid. When CEC moved in 2002 it got a brand new Studio C Beta, and this location's stage and animatronics were sent to the store in Florence, Kentucky, which was owned by the same franchisee; Pasqually's bass drum head, however, ended up at Chesapeake Sams Circle. Florence is a store I had on my bucket list, but unfortunately by the time I had a trip planned there in April they had already begun renovating and the stage was trashed.
There is a doorway leading into the Citi Trends' stockroom, which utilizes the majority of the old showroom space. On this visit I opened the door a little to take a quick peek inside, but a motion sensor alarm started loudly chiming so I quickly shut it and walked away. From the brief glance I got of their backroom it just looks like a large gutted space, but I wish I had just a few more seconds to take a photo unsuspectingly.
Wall trends this season have changed from boring neutral color to eye popping color and shine. This beautiful Peacock Blue Venetian plaster wall created by Studio 1 Plaster company was inspired by the Royal Palm Marakesh. You can find the amazing work of Studio 1 plaster@studio1plaster . Greater Manchester Police is showing people what officers and staff face in 24 hours by providing the most extensive behind the scenes access in its history.
From 5am on Tuesday 14 October for 24 hours the Force will be tweeting all the calls it receives as well as providing an insight into some of the most challenging work. It takes place exactly four years after the very first GMP Twitter Day.
The 24 hours will see:
•Details of all 3,000+ calls being tweeted as they happen
•The GMP Facebook account will be ‘taken over’ by officers providing details of how cases are investigated
•Video updates from officers working in complex areas such as public protection and negotiators
•Two community reporters will provide updates from custody and a response patrol
•Updates throughout the day from the 101 local police Twitter and Facebook accounts
Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy said: “Since we held our first Twitter day in 2010 the force has shrunk by 1,400 officers and it has become more of a challenge to maintain the service to the public.
“Four years ago, people were surprised by the range of incidents we have to deal with and these have not changed. More of our work is about protecting vulnerable people, targeting those who abuse them and dealing with the consequences of entrenched social problems.
“We have a tremendous workforce that every day shows great dedication, patience and compassion. Our staff have great concern about the consequences of further reductions that we will face over coming years. We will need greater support from the public and continued changes to the way we work to get through this.”
Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Jim Battle: “Twitter day gives the public an insight into a typical busy day for Greater Manchester Police. I’m sure the public will be surprised with the number of calls, the range of complex issues police deal with daily and how effective police officers are in protecting the public and our communities.
“Giving the public an insight into a day in the life of GMP will strengthen their support for officers and staff, who do extraordinary work in difficult circumstances. It also reinforces the case to government that investment in policing is essential and cutting police budgets is reckless.”
To follow what happens during the 24 hours people should check out the Twitter accounts @gmpday14_1, @gmpday14_2, @gmpday14_3 and @gmpday14_4 that will be used for the calls. Further details will be circulated on the force main Twitter account @gmpolice and Facebook GtrManchesterPolice, and if you are not on social media you can find it on the website www.gmp.police.uk
But simply follow the hashtag #gmp24 to see the activity unfold.
Since I’ve been keeping track of my purchases each month (for over two years), I’ve got a much better idea of how much of my outfit is “new” and how much “old” each day. Today, everything I’m wearing was purchased in the last two years, except for the trousers.
Jacket, Allen B. Denim shirt, Old Navy. Denim trousers, Express. Boots, Style & Co (thrifted). Brooch, thrifted. Tassel, Epcot Morocco. Arrowhead pendants, thrifted. Bracelet, Serket Jewelry.
Much of what I’m wearing was inspired by trends: denim shirts, striped blazers, moto styling, punky jewelry, ethnic accents, western footwear. The trousers, though, are a classic: dark, wide-leg denim. Stacey and Clinton seem to put almost every What Not To Wear participant in a pair. Those two are all about the classics, so I know I can’t go wrong with these trews.
