Once the sun had set, and after a long walk, we were able to sit down and admire the view not far our spot for the night; the brightness decreased more and more, and a car arrived in the scene, I took the opportunity to do a longer exposure to have the light trails on my picture!

The view out of my window goes down into a small valley with a little greek and then up the hill with a few bushes and some sparse groups of trees. Truly, it is one of nature's wonders that one day, a tree appears out of the nothing, not even catching my eye for years but when the conditions become right, it shines wide.

A perfect sunset after a cloudy day.. I wanted to give it a try and I was right for this spot ! it just cleared up.
However, note to myself , I should have stayed a bit longer after sunset, the sky became all red while I was going back.. it's noted for next time !

Inevitably, who says Dolomites says lago di braies, a very emblematic place, unfortunately victim of its own success, ... BUT it remains indeed a magnificent place, impossible not to pass by at sunrise, before that the crowd invades the area.
The clouds appeared for a moment, which finally gave a particular atmosphere.

An amazing place in Veneto (Italy) where the earth and the sky dance together. You must go there and see it!

Although it was not specifically on our schedule, clearly my favorite trek during our week in the Dolomites.
A 2-day trek; a significant elevation gain and a magnificent landscape, the right combination for a satisfaction feeling at the top and at the arrival.. how beautiful it was!
The difficulty was there, since we were carrying our tent and the photo equipment. My objective was to arrive before sunrise at this spot.. I underestimated the elevation a little, it took 2 hours rather than one (expected) from our tent (before the rifugio Vajolet).
Despite this, a superb view of the Vajolet Towers as well as the "rifugio re alberto". I could have found other compositions, near the refuge, but I was too much in a hurry to get to the top.
Another photo will follow at nightfall, where I was able to do some light painting with a passing car, an interesting result!
Note for those who are interested, take equipment to do the via ferrata on the way back, otherwise it's too dangerous!
