At least a peaceful image on such a black day.

Wenigstens ein "friedvolles" Bild, an diesem schwarzen Tag.

You've seen this appletree a vew times before in my feed, but this time I chose a different perspective, completely from the opposite side.

Looks a little like an olive tree - but it's an old appletree,

Dieser Apfelbaum (der mich immer an einen Olivenbaum erinnert) steht im Linzgau und blickt auf den Bodensee herab.

I will be tree-mendous!

The massive sky over an old chestnut tree.

The clouds changed quickly yesterday. 20min before, the sky was pitchblack... Here the sun broke through the clouds.

The sky is original, no composite!

This winter photograph captures my favorite maple tree as it stood many years ago. A soft layer of snow rests on its branches, and the muted light of the season surrounds it with a quiet, contemplative atmosphere. The subtle editing emphasizes the sadness I feel over its loss—this wonderful tree was cut down last year for reasons I still do not understand. The mood of the image gently echoes the reflective spirit of the early Advent season, combining winter’s stillness with a sense of longing and remembrance.

After some rain, the sky cleared and presented us with this beautiful sunset.

I saw this beautiful lichen on a tree on my street the other day and it's heart shape caught my eye. 💚♥️

On the trip through the Isle of Mull, there are countless amazing photo spots along the way. It’s impossible to stay too long in the vehicle without wanting to capture these stunning views. The small roads winding through the countryside are simply beautiful—each turn reveals another breathtaking scene.

Discovering the wonderful Isle of Mull during our road trip, I came across these magnificent trees near a single-track road in March 2019. Whenever I’m behind the camera, it’s a must to stop immediately and properly capture these two sibling trees in a photo. Wonderful memories of an amazing trip through beloved Scotland with my best friend.

It was an incredibly beautiful road trip along the west coast of Scotland, filled with amazing impressions and wonderful people we met along the way. One of our highlights was the Isle of Mull – a truly stunning corner of the world. This photo, taken in March, shows leafless, solitary trees set against the backdrop of the typical Scottish landscape – an absolute must to capture with the camera. Our next adventure to the north coast of Scotland is already in the works.

Winter is starting to feel too long for me. While browsing through my hard drive, I found a nostalgic moment from 2021, just as summer was beginning. In the photo, two rainbows appear—a beautiful sign of hope and change. My favorite tree, which has since been cut down stands proudly in this moment. I’m grateful to have captured this fleeting glimpse of nature’s magic. Spring and summer, I’m ready for you.

Taken twelve years ago on the Ring of Kerry in Ireland—an unforgettable family hiking moment along the rugged coastline. The landscape is breathtaking: rolling green hills, dramatic cliffs, and a solitary tree shaped by the relentless coastal wind. You can almost feel the gusts in the air and the quiet pull of longing this place still evokes. A day spent exploring the wild beauty of Ireland, followed later by the warmth of an evening pub visit—memories woven into the scenery itself.

Here is once again a view of my beloved solitary tree, captured as summer was coming to an end. The photo, taken with a Polaroid 1000 Land Camera, remains one of my most treasured moments. To my great sorrow, I have now discovered that this wonderful old maple has been cut down — such a heartbreaking piece of news.

A sunny autumnal blurscape, just for fun : )

A charming coastal path along the Ring of Kerry, where the weather shifted constantly—from beautiful to dramatic. The hiking experience was truly priceless. This shot was taken quite some time ago—I recently rediscovered it while digging through my hard drive.

An old, solitary maple tree stands proudly in the soft morning mist of early autumn. The golden rays of a breathtaking sunrise gently break through the fog, illuminating the tree’s vibrant fall foliage in warm shades of red, orange, and gold. This peaceful scene captures a cherished memory of my favorite tree, now sadly cut down. As the first signs of autumn appear, the image becomes a quiet tribute to the beauty of change and the passage of time.
