Black-webbed Treefrog (Rhacophorus kio) from Cúc Phương National Park, Vietnam.

In a two foot tall coconut palm tree along the canal at the edge of the condo property I live in. After hurricane Irma all the coconuts that floated onto the banks of the canal are now growing.

Gray treefrogs breed in May when they move to breeding ponds. Clusters of up to 30 eggs are attached to vegetation near the surface of the water. The eggs hatch in three to six days. Tadpoles transform within two months. Adults reach maturity within two years

Although s/he should be in a tree this time of day, and should be gray (they can change color somewhat), I still think this is a gray treefrog, Hyla versicolor.,

Hard to find a more beautiful creature.....I was looking for sparrows but not much luck....so this little guy had no competition :)

Treefrog on our patio last summer...

During and after the rain, many frogs (and cane toads) appeared. We saw this cute treefrog having a feast on the insects in this wood-chip pile.

The Gray Treefrogs have really begun to take an interest in my little decorative pond. I have numerous egg masses already.

 

I felt pretty bad for the female shown in this picture as two males were literally fighting and kicking at each other for breeding rights.

We must really need rain if this little guy is hanging out in our hot tub. Found him clinging to the underside of the hot tub lid. Central Illinois

Found this male gray treefrog croaking near my pond after a warmish rain. First of the year treefrog for me.
