'Why be a copy, when you were born an original'

💪💪 #mood_in_frame #the_mirror_of_our_souls #ig_shotz_trees #enchantedforest #naturebrilliance #raw_alltrees #earth_shotz #forest_masters #forest_captures #forest_magic #addicted_to_basque #tufotonatgeo #divine_forest #bestforestmood #sublimeshot #thebasquecountry #fstoppers #naturelove #euskalherria #total_nature_spain #total_nature_europe #sonyalpha #sonyphotography #sonya7iii #leofoto #tree_brilliance #tree_magic #splendid_woodlands #tree_of_darkness #ig_shotz_trees #earth_shotz #sonyalphasclub

This is the time to leave your home and take a short trip to an outdoor nature place like this, or just do it in your imagination…right now.

Snow is funny one. The novelty of it can trick the mind into thinking that everything is elevated, more photogenic and ultimately less effort to get beautiful results. This isn’t quite the case though...and once the initial excitement calmed down, I found my mind really focusing on what was speaking to me which was; simplicity.

At Lawrence Field I found a shot I would never have framed up had the snow not fallen. A lone stem of orange gold bracken, poked through the snow arresting my attention. I had noticed the trio of birch first of all and spent a long time tentatively trying to find and angle without putting footprints all through my foreground to not avail. I’d all but given up when I spotted this.

The mark of Storm Babet has still been left in some parts of Lincoln and one of those places is the West Common.

This saturated patch of ground lent a unique perspective on this tree which is usually in the middle of heathland rather than on the edge of a lake. The fog was the icing on the cake for this one isolating this subject beautifully.
