Blitzen Trapper is a Portland, Oregon-based experimental alternative country/folk band signed to Sub Pop Records. Formed in 2000, the band currently operates as a sextet, with Eric Earley (guitar/vocals), Erik Menteer (guitar/keyboard), Brian Adrian Koch (drums/vocals), Michael VanPelt (bass), and Marty Marquis (guitar, keyboards, vocals).

This was an old picture I took when I was driving around one winter around Pineview Reservoir, I remember seeing all the snow, and the clear blue sky and the mountains, I couldn't resist.

Blitzen Trapper brought their hard hitting example of controlled chaos to the El Mo, rocking our socks off!

Guess I should have put a year on this since it is not recent snowfall.
Taken during a visit in 2000 - wow where has time gone.

This is a storage facility where the trapper would keep his pelts on his route. The pelts were stored above to keep them away from the bears. The ladder would never be kept like this, but would be stood up against a nearby tree in order to be able to find it again due to heavy snowfalls.
