the sage the bees love was lit up perfectly...the honey bees looked transparent...the light just went right through them

Inside of the water droplet you can see detail of the brick wall behind it but everything else is completely out of focus. Gives the sense of a fish eye a bit.

View from the upper floor of the Osaka Castle. A shachihoko is an animal in Japanese folklore with the head of a tiger and the body of a carp. It was believed that this animal could cause the rain to fall, and as such, temples and castles were often adorned with roof ornaments (shibi) crafted in the form of a shachihoko, in order to protect them from fire. Tried like a transparency sort of thing.. didn't take long to do. need to work on it a bit more

Sometimes the unclear parts of life help to focus our attention on the clear things.........proving both can be equally beautiful .....

i took this years ago on a 5x4 large format rail camera. as i recall i think we used an exposure of around 8 seconds with a bit of "painting with light" as Keith, the lecturer called it, to put the warm highlights you ca see on the stem and on the tips of some of the petals.
