I understand that the bosses at flickr have decided to force everyone down the route of the "new photo experience"; with its ugly sidebar. This in my view seriously compromises the ability of flickr to host serious photography.
I have not yet decided whether I will stay or give up on flickr entirely. But I will certainly join with others in trying to make my voice heard. The new flickr sidebar is a disaster, and I am amazed that it is to be foisted on so many loyal customers who are so passionately opposed to it.
I hope that as many people as possible will join in the 'black day' protest tomorrow, 8th December 2013. Try a search for "flickr black day".
Small in size this fit-out required a sensitive approach towards the scale of the space. Some of the strategies included hoisting the base-building ceiling [just below 8’] up to 10’ in some cases; incorporating the use of glass to allow transparency and visual continuity in the space; and, the use of a limited palette of warm colours, materials and lighting to minimise visual clutter. I took this in the front garden this evening, the lights were perfect and maybe one more day for this beauty and she will be gone again until next Spring. I have been incredibly busy these past few weeks and thank you for your patience waiting on me to visit your streams.The majestic oaks are dripping their leaves in the gardens I maintain and 70 lawn bags filled to the brim are an average in a two acre garden! I'm POOPED!
This came out a little better in my head than in actual reality. :)

Rather sitting and do nothing, I upload some stuff I hadn't upload for a while.

Glass stereo slides of Germany. G-aunt looking on. Taken with the Richard Verascope stereo camera.
Photos taken by my g-grandfather during trips to England and Europe, with the family, 1907 -1922.
The slides, contain two small positive transparency images, of 38 x38mm (1 ½”) , giving a reasonable medium-resolution image.
The images are normally viewed with the self-advancing tray viewer – the Richard Taxiphote cabinet stereo viewer.
