Posting the run down truck stop made me remember I had not shared the soon to be lost forever old relic of a barn that drew my attention and led me to turn around in the first place. Fields of golden soybeans lay behind the transparent walls of this old barn to glimpse into our distant past.

The recent global financial crisis highlighted the need to broaden the discussion about regulation and oversight of the financial system. Financial companies constitute the single largest industry sector in our report, with 24 financial institutions included from a total 105 companies. Overall, financial companies scored an average of 4.2 out of 10 in our study, highlighting the need for increased transparency of corporate reporting across this sector.

MEPs gave their backing on Wednesday to plans for a joint register of lobbyists and other interest groups seeking access to Parliament and the Commission. Parliament urges that lobbyists' exchanges with lead MEPs be listed in a "legislative footprint annex" to parliamentary reports. It also hopes the Council of Ministers will take part in this "transparency register".
Rapporteur Carlo Casini (EPP, IT) said in a debate on Tuesday that the texts approved are "a first step towards greater transparency". He added "I think this is a clear indication of our commitment to the value of transparency."

It was in the sale, and although I don't really NEED a see-through acrylic hole-punch, the aesthetics of the thing appealed to me.

During his tenure at E-Loan, he pioneered the open access to credit scores movement by making E-Loan the first company to show consumers their FICO scores. Mr. Larsen also played a pivotal role in the passage of the strongest consumer financial privacy law in the nation and was hailed by Congresswoman Jackie Speier as being, "critical to the success of the bill."
Mr. Larsen serves at the Board and Advisory levels at numerous companies and organizations including: Progreso Financiero, Betable, CreditKarma, and Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC). Mr. Larsen holds an M.B.A. degree from Stanford University and a B.S. degree from San Francisco State University, where he was named the 2004 Alumnus of the Year.
