RAMAL DE CAMPOS 7ª ETAPA
La séptima etapa comienza en el puente de Castromocho y termina en Medina de Rioseco. Fuente de vida en estos áridos campos, sembrados, construcciones tÃpicas cómo palomares, paramo de los Montes Torozos. Capillas es la primera localidad que nos encontramos, conserva restos de la muralla, una antigua fuente. A lo lejos podemos ver la siguiente población, Boada de Campos con la Laguna del mismo nombre. Muy cerca de Capillas se encuentra la 2ª esclusa, con la vegetación del Canal forma un conjunto apacible. Continuamos el camino por la margen derecha, llegamos a la 3ª tranquila y retirada. Pasaremos por las esclusas 4ª y 5ª. A la derecha esta Castil de Vela, ala izquierda se divisa el Castillo Belmonte de Campos. La 6ª y 7ª se encuentran en un bello lugar que invitan al paseo y disfrute de la naturaleza. Ambas disponen de compuertas que permiten la navegación en este tramo. Hasta Medina de Rioseco ambos márgenes son cómodos muy transitables. Antes del final de la etapa pasaremos por el acueducto del rio Sequillo. Entramos en la provincia de Valladolid. Villanueva de San Mancio es la primera localidad canalera de esta provincia, muy cerca de Tamariz de Campos. La llegada a la "ciudad de los almirantes" Medina de Rioseco, en este ultimo tramo la embarcación de "Antonio de Ulloa" realiza paseos por el Canal de martes a domingos. Esta ciudad tiene la Dársena mas grande del Canal . Su fabrica de harinas visitable, sus almacenes convertidos en albergue turÃstico. Centro de Recepción de Viajeros del Canal y de diversas actividades turÃsticas, funciona todo el año de martes a domingos. telf. 983701923.

the airport is a place of passage, a liminal zone where lives intersect briefly, then scatter. here, under the sharp geometry of steel and glass, a lone traveler walks, dwarfed by the vast structure that frames her journey. the parallel lines of the moving walkway stretch into infinity, a quiet reminder of forward motion, of destinations yet to come. the muted sepia tones soften the harsh modernity, wrapping the scene in a blanket of nostalgia. it’s a moment caught between departures and arrivals, between now and soon—a fleeting whisper in the echoing halls of transit.
A heavy moment amidst the late-night hustle of Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. While the warm airport lighting tempted me toward color, pushing this into high-contrast black and white stripped away all the visual noise, leaving just the patience, fatigue, and solitude of the journey.

in this corridor of disappearing time, shadows stretch across stone and glass like a silent countdown. the people move — slowly, certainly — but without urgency. they are figures in a grid, part of the architecture, walking through a space made entirely of waiting.

I'll never understand the desire to dampen down hearing while in a busy bustling city, least of all while crossing a road. I hope you enjoy this shot from my archives that, had it not been for my drought of new work, would have remained buried. Stay safe everyone!

Having fun in Mass Transit, exposing for the highlights as the mass of commuters and travellers passed across a cross hatch of lights and shadows. I enjoyed how it picked out bits and pieces across the frame and the distribution of the highlights.
Die Rapp Gruppe entschied ihr Kompetenzfeld Gebäude mit Architekten, Tragswerksplaner, Gebäudetechniker und Industrieplaner in das aufstrebende Dreispitzareal umzusiedeln. Gewählt wurde das Transitlager, ein vom dänischen Architekten Bjarke Ingels in ein Wohn- und Geschäftshaus transformiertes, ehemaliges Zwischenlager für amerikanische Autos und Zigarren. Rapp plante und realisierte den Mieterausbau für 150 Arbeitsplätze als Open Space in den extrem langgestreckten 2. und 3. Obergeschossen.
Auf zweimal 114m Länge entstand eine Bürolandschaft mit grosszügigen, doppelgeschossigen Agoren, Sitznischen und gläserne Besprechungsboxen. Die Arbeitsplätze reihen sich entlang der durch die massiven Betonstützen rhythmisierte Fassadenflucht auf und profitieren von viel Tageslicht und Sicht auf den Freilager-Platz.
Der ursprüngliche Lagercharakter wird im lasierten Ortbeton und der offen geführten Haustechnikinstallationen spürbar. Einfache Grundmaterialien, wie die farblos behandelten Stahlgeländer und das geölte Seekiefer-Sperrholz, welches für verschiedene Einbauten und Abdeckungen eingesetzt wurde, setzen einzelne Akzente. Am Boden korrespondieren der sandfarbene textile Belag mit dem naturbelassenen Hartsteinholz-Belag der Agoren. Schwere Vorhänge, welche an klassische Wolltücher erinnern, dienen als temporäre Raumtrenner der zweigeschossigen Lufträumen. Die vollflächig mit Holzwolle-Akustikplatten belegten Decken, der Teppich und die schweren Vorhänge erzeugen eine sehr angenehme, gedämpfte Akustik. The Rapp Group decided to relocate its competence field Buildings with architects, structural engineers, building technicians and industrial planners to the up-and-coming Dreispitz area. The Transit Warehouse was chosen, a former interim storage facility for American cars and cigars transformed into a residential and commercial building by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels. Rapp planned and realised the tenant fit-out for 150 workplaces as open space on the extremely elongated 2nd and 3rd upper floors.
An office landscape with generous, two-storey agoras, seating niches and glass conference boxes was created over a length of two times 114m. The workplaces are lined up along the façade line, which is rhythmically structured by the massive concrete columns, and benefit from a lot of daylight and a view of the open-air warehouse square.
The original warehouse character can be felt in the glazed in-situ concrete and the open building services installations. Simple basic materials, such as the colourlessly treated steel railings and the oiled maritime pine plywood used for various fixtures and coverings, set individual accents. On the floor, the sand-coloured textile covering corresponds with the natural hardwood flooring of the agors. Heavy curtains, reminiscent of classic woollen cloths, serve as temporary room dividers for the two-storey air spaces. The ceilings, which are fully covered with wood wool acoustic panels, the carpet and the heavy curtains create very pleasant, muted acoustics.
