This has to be one of the prettiest Highway I've driven on. What usually takes 4 1/2 hour from Banff to Jasper, took up to 8 hours because I constantly had to stop and snap these incredible views.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared any of my work online. But that’s not because I haven’t been shooting. Rather, quite to the contrary. From Calgary to Kamloops, Lillooet to the Lakehead, and all the way down to Hamilton, my feet haven’t stayed in one place for long these past couple of months. I’ve racked up thousands of kilometres, and seemingly just as many images, along the never-ending white line and the nation-linking arteries of the Trans-Canada Highway.
When I thought about how I wanted to introduce my latest work, I decided to frame it as a loose series, roughly centered on the theme of travel along this cross-country route, which often intertwines with Canada’s railroads. This image felt like the perfect place to set the tone. Over the coming weeks, I hope to share more of these travels with you all.

The Trans-Canada Highway is a series of provincial highways which join all ten provinces of Canada. As the second largest country in the world, driving the 8,030 km (just under 5,000 miles) Trans-Canada Highway is one of the three-longest single-country highway journeys in the world. I took this shot in the Rocky Mountains on the road to Banff.
Hundreds of people turned out in the rain on ‘Good Friday’ for a ‘Trans Rights’ demonstration in Manchester’s St. Peter’s Square. It came after the UK’s Supreme Court ruled this week that the terms ‘woman’ and ‘sex’ in the Equality Act refer to a biological woman and biological sex; which can cause problems down the line regarding ‘Single sex changing rooms / toilets’, Sport and many other issues previously dismissed. An enormous can of worms has just been opened…….!
