Two more Sofia metro trains 🚇 model 81-714 and 81-717 departing for modernisation in Russia. BDZ TP 43 551 is going to pull the train to Dimitrovgrad (Serbia). It will be a long journey - Vmax for the train is set to 40 km/h and 10 km/h through switches.

Sheep dog training in progress. I observed this amazing display near California State Route 113 at Cook Lane, Solano County, Northern California. A second shot, giving a better idea of the size of the herd, is inserted below.
I believe I could have taken some nicer images, but positioning to do that would have been disruptive. I was just a passerby, not an invited guest. I really enjoyed watching. I captured this for February’s Alphabet Fun: T is for Training

I was asked to help with the Search And Rescue Dog Association (England), training day in Northumberland on the 7th July.
This is the dog that found me as I lay in the bracken waiting. What a happy expression to make an impression!

On a football field surrounded by teammates, practicing routines that sometimes take dozens of attempts before everything finally comes together.
From the outside, it probably looks like an ordinary training session.
But for me...
it's one of my favorite places in Second Life.
SLCS – the Second Life Cheerleaders – has become my biggest hobby.
Not because of the performances.
Not because of the uniforms.
But because of the incredible people behind them.
SLCS has squads for children, teenagers and adults, giving everyone the opportunity to learn and grow.
I'm part of the Main Squad, the Metrics team—created especially for those of us living in Europe so we can train despite the time difference to the United States—and the All Stars, where we meet every Thursday evening for practice.
I'm also proud to be one of the Training Sisters.
That means supporting new cheerleaders during their education, helping our amazing trainers whenever I can, and encouraging those moments when someone simply needs a little confidence.
Because every experienced cheerleader was once a beginner.
Many people don't realize how much dedication this hobby requires.
The basic training alone lasts four weeks.
And that's only the beginning.
There are advanced classes, new techniques to master, and countless routines waiting to be learned.
The cheer HUD is incredibly detailed, and every routine demands patience, teamwork and practice.
Lots of practice.
Valerie is a cheerleader too.
Outside our official trainings, we often meet with bots to practice new routines together.
Sometimes we improve.
Sometimes we laugh because one tiny mistake turns everything upside down.
Those moments are just as special as performing a routine perfectly.
As I looked around the field tonight, watching small groups practicing together, I smiled.
Nobody is trying to outshine anyone else.
Everyone helps each other.
Everyone celebrates every little step forward.
I never expected that a virtual world would give me a hobby that means so much to me.
But somehow...
it did.
SLCS didn't just become my favorite hobby.
It gave my Second Life a place where I truly feel at home.

Practice is over, the music slowly fades away, and the stands are emptying. But for Tamara and Valerie, one of the most beautiful moments of the day is just beginning.
They sit together on the field at SLCS Stadium, enjoying the quiet after an intense practice and reflecting on the past few hours. Between jumps, choreography, and countless repetitions, they have once again proven that cheerleading is far more than just a sport—it’s team spirit, friendship, and passion.
As the stadium lights slowly come on and the stars seem to twinkle in the stands, the two look out over the field with satisfaction. Tired legs, a smile on their faces, and the good feeling of having achieved something together.
Because the best memories aren’t always made during the big performances—sometimes they’re simply made after practice, when you’re sitting on the field with your best friend and partner and know that you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.♥♥♥

Rhys is so funny - we are trying to get him to do the water work, but he just doesn't want to swim. He'd rather sit there, cooling his butt! And that's an improvement, so there is hope!

They are a charity who provide dog search teams to find lost/missing persons and to recover dead bodies. The are completely volunteer staffed.
They had a training/assessment day at Sunflower Cottage on Friday so I took some pictures of them.
A great charity and so well organised.
