Hidden trail around Hücker Moor in October.

Hücker Moor is a nice little lake in the Herford area (Northwest Germany). Peat was cut here more than a century ago and created this lovely landscape. Today the place is a great location for wildlife and worth a trip for the local folks in all seasons. Ostwestfalen, Germany

While traveling back to Tromso from our daily trips, we stopped nearby Nordkjosbotn, Balsfjord to take several photographs of this unique and beautiful scenery at sunset. A trail of smoke from a bonfire was dancing in the air.

Thank you for your comments,

I walk this nearby trail quite often, and on this day, I thought the sumac (i think), the fence and path made for a nice enough composition. Just nice enough: not spectacular by any means.

Along the trail, we found a sunset, a solar barn, wildflowers, and a FENCE. A FENCE for Friday! Imagine that!

Note: My computer may be dying. I uploaded this photo before the death, so I was able to make it public via my iPad.

There were still some patches of snow in the forest during an April morning walk. It's all melted now.

…viewing such sights as this get me out of the house on crisp winter days for a walk through the park.

Magical start to the new year.

My creation of a mystic landscape, the photo was taken in the Woods Bay State Park SC.

The White Dome Trail in Valley of Fire State Park goes right through the "V" in the center of this image, and down between the rocks. Such a fun, short hike!

Spent the whole weekend getting shots of fall color before it was gone and the weekend could not have been more beautiful. I enjyed the peace and quiet and not to mention all the color!

faux-lavender added by me; I love the photos of lavender fields in France. This is at Montebello Preserve. I was lower on the same trail.....walking.

A woodland trail found in the community of Brighton. From this trail I had ocean vistas and scenes of the woods and surrounding area.

With little wind and lots of moisture in the air the contrails of airplanes are pretty visible. This picture is from before dawn, the sun illuminates already the contrails, but not the earth.

This is the exit point of the Wire Pass trail (which passes through a narrow slot canyon) at the conjunction where it enters Buckskin Gulch in Utah's Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. I love walking in slot canyons. Note the hiker near the far wall for scale.

My latest and so far most successful attempt at star trails. This time rather than simply taking a single long exposure I took a number of shots over 30 mins and combined them in Photoshop resulting in a lot less noise and many more visible trails. I need to experiment further.

Thanks for visiting. I am very grateful for all the kind comments and faves.
