1940's Chevy and bus trailer. These trailers were old car carriers that were converted to transport War Workers.
In 1988, the remnant of B&O's St Louis Trailer Train is now under CSX ownership, but still operating into the Gateway area. In this view, the train is only a mile or so from its destination at the former B&O trailer ramp on the East St. Louis, IL riverfront.

A 1937 Ford Model 78 "Woody" with a vintage teardrop trailer. In the US small caravans like this one are still made new.
Building the trailer wasn't particularly difficult, but I did spend a fair bit of time on the details, such as the coupling and the winch. I decided to build the bed in dark tan plates, to mimic wood and to add a bit of colour. I also added a large toolbox to the truck.
A westbound South Shore Line train whips (whip it good) by Davis siding. This is on Michigan City's far east side. Residents of the Green Acres trailer park, just to my left, get a great view of the action.
