These are leaves of the South Africa's honey plant ( Melanthius Major ) which are very toxic.
Taken at the Melbourne Botanical Gardens.
An animal which browses on the leaves will die within a few hours.
The roots are also reported to be poisonous.
Due to its toxicity Melianthus must never be taken internally, however, used externally it is one of the most widely known and extensively used traditional indigenous medicinal plants.

Anthurium, aka flamingo flower, boy flower, laceleaf, is an exotic-looking indoor plant
The 'flowers' of anthurium are 'spathes' – brightly coloured leaves that attract insects in the wild.
The flower is actually the central unisexual 'spadix', made up of lots of tiny blooms.

The adult female Monarch lays tiny eggs covered with a sticky substance on the underside of milkweed leaves, which are extremely toxic. The caterpillar hatches from its egg several days later and feeds on these leaves.
The Monarch caterpillar and adult butterfly retain the poison from the milkweed leaves in its body, and is protected from being eaten by predators.
