Thank you for your visit, most appreciated!

Looking toward Saint Michael along Rue Vaillant in Dijon France .Les Amis des Musées de Dijon is on the right side of the image. This was one of the few places in Dijon where there was enough space besides the Place de la Libération for capturing a good cityscape image.

I got the title from G.B.Y.'s comment

Thank you😊

Before dawn,

While the sea is still snow-white, you will set sail;

The grip of the oars in your palms,

And in your heart the joy of toil and vigor,

You will go.

In the roll and sway of the nets, you will go.

For welcome, fish will appear on your course

Delighting you.

As you shake the nets,

Scale by scale, the sea will journey into your hands.

When silence pervades the souls of seagulls

In the cemetery of the rocks,

All of a sudden,

All hell will break loose on the horizon:

Mermaids will scuttle and birds scurry...

Saturnalia and festivals, orgies and carnivals,

Bridal processions, masquerades, revelries, carausals...

Heeeyy!

Whaddya waiting for, man, jump in the sea!

Forget who's waitying for you back there.

Don't you see: Freedom is all around you.

Be the sail, the oar, the rudder, the fish, the water,

And go, go whereever you can !

At Michigan's Kensington Metropark, there's a boardwalk that's within long-lens range of the rookery where many Great Blue Herons and other water birds build their nests. During early Spring, when nest building is underway, its not uncommon to see a large number of photographers on the boardwalk. Most, if not all, I suspect, are in a quest for that one perfect, immaculate Great Blue Heron photograph...

Well, this one isn't it. But I decided to have some fun with the processing anyway. This heron was carrying a sprig of construction material up to its nest when the photo was taken. But the sky didn't really look like this... :-)

A view of the Wicklow Mountain foothills from the Coillte Coolmelagh walk and it is certainly a tapestry of Autumn colours which is moving toward winter at a faster rate than I like.

EXPLORE #373 del 19.07.2009

After making a run to Honea Path and then picking up twenty or so cars from the Greenville & Western interchange at Belton, a pair of Pickens RR U18Bs head west toward Anderson.

The trail is steep and rocky but there is light ahead.

Firstly I would like to thank you all for your wonderful comments and favorites, they are very appreciated.

Beautiful late summer getaway in the Acadian Peninsula New Brunswick and Gaspésia. I got back into photography and Monique and I were more than happy to return to Gaspésia after more than 42 years! I made some nice encounter of rare bird like Jean Blais a very nice guy. I will present you in disorder as it is my habit the shots that I love.

On the morning of September 8th there was a strong north wind and the high tide was scheduled for 12:30 in Kamouraska Quebec and it was very cloudy, it is a place I love for its fish market and the beautiful landscapes and buildings of the old town. After spotting a group of Black-bellied Plovers and studying their movements, I settled behind a shore stone several hundred feet away from them in the hope of trying to capture the Black-bellied Plovers who are rather shy, but were working the shore towards me. I had been there for over an hour and was soaking wet and completely frozen from lying on the ground on the gravel and sodden algae. It was then that a Peregrine Falcon arrived on a low ground swep and chased away the long-awaited Black-bellied Plovers group ... I had made a few catches but I was hoping for a full frame that never happened.

Then came an unexpected bird and saved my morning, A Whimbrel. He was still far away but luckily he was working the shore slowly eating towards me. It is a beautiful bird but rather suspicious and fierce. I did a good hundred shots before I decided I was tired of freezing and went back to the RV where Monique was waiting for me patiently.

Greetings Flickr friends! Will be back toward the end of September.

Many years ago my neighbors band of goats ate most of the bark on my Bloodgood Maple. I didn't think it would recover. With extra water for a few years, it grew new branches and refilled the area with pretty reds. The grey in the rear are mountains across the Skagit River. The treatment made them dark grey.

Just beyond the tree {Judy, a tribute to my fallen cousin} the land falls toward a lower meadow. My home is on a plateau carved when they set the house on. The large tree to the right is a young large leaf Maple, one of a gazillion throughout my almost 13 acres.
